It has them focused and perceptive to sounds. This app gets kids to think about what everyday things sound like. My one complaint (after one use, my kids still haven't tried it) is that it shouldn't say "you're great!" after a correct answer. Kids shouldn't base their worth on answering something correctly. I glanced over and saw the noise it matched was not only not a monkey, but an ape, and it was the wrong sound. The ape depicted, the gibbon, does not make a sound like "ooh ooh ah ah" but "whoop whoop whoop." Other than that mistake, fantastic app! ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Great for teaching kids with autism *2019-01-25, version 2.0* An awesome, rich resource for systematically assessing receptive language concepts for children with autism. I’m a behavior analyst and I find that children on the spectrum are more likely to respond to instructions presented on the iPad. It would be really cool if the app could log the child’s responses during a session and email it to me afterward, but it’s still excellent.
