Having switched from Clover POS to touch bistro I had very high hopes however this POS is just as bad as clover if not even worse. We had maxed out the abilities of what Clover could do, and the fact that the equipment could not be moved from one bank to the other was the primary reason why we switched over to touch bistro. We were sold on this being a POS designed for restaurants but it has so many limitations and issues from hardware to software to connectivity that it has cost me more money switching over than if I had stayed with Clover with some of the limitations I had with that POS.

I used to recommend TouchBistro to so many people! I used it at another bar I worked at then bought my own and kept it. The last 2 to 3 years has gone completely downhill! Way too ,Amy things to even go over! I’m finally making the leap to switch to what my newest bar has and my employees are soooooo excited to get rid of touch bistro! Mind you they used to love it too!

Why did the whole system have to be changed and all our settings reset????

Things that are a super annoyance: when you type something in the search bar and select it, you have to delete the original search. It should just reset after selection.

Also, when I’m dealing with an already open tab, it confirms I want to send another item??? Why???

They keep updating it and it just makes it worse and worse. Thinking about switching to toast or square. If you are a busy restaurant I wouldn’t recommend it.

Tried to cancel 2 weeks ago and still waiting for customer service to contact us to finish the process. In the meantime they are still charging us. App will crash after every order is put in. Stay away.

Been using the software for about a year.  The company didn’t acknowledge or notify customers about. The system failure due to AWS.  Published a major release the next day 12.0 which broke major portions of their application. Including barcode scanning, menu publishing and promotional pricing (like happy hour) despite numerous calls to the help desk the situation is still unresolved.  Poor quality control on their release has cost our small operation money by offering promotions on the wrong items and the wrong times

Loved it at first but over the last 6 months I have lost so much money due to the lagging and shut downs! I have called and called. I have begged for a new router. They blame my issues on my internet so I had my provider come out and replace a few things. Still problems. I call and call again. I get a rep that tells me that because I don’t shut the system down daily, this is my problem. Sooooo I shut the system down. Still problems!! They refuse to send me a new router that they provide for their system…. So I am stuck! STAY FAR AWAY!!!
