But I have find that there are multiple situations where the iPad or people‘s iPhones do not connect to the mixer… This happens so frequently that the band members have given up trying to control their own mixes from their own iPhones (which was one of the reasons that we bought this mixer). The iPad connects about 85% of the time. I just used it as a gig with a new iPad and it would not connect at all. This almost ruined a gig for me. I would say the Touchmix is amazing, and if this app worked even 95% of the time, it would be great, but it doesn’t due to connection issues with iPads and iPhones. Would help a lot in large campus area networks. Leider ist es nicht möglich die App im Split View auf dem Ipad zu benutzen. Das würde es ermöglichen Licht und Ton App gleichzeitig offen zu haben. Vielleicht ist das ja möglich umzusetzen. J’ai déjà réussi à me connecter avec une précédente version peut être qu’une mise à jour m’a bloqué. Avez vous une idée pour que cela fonctionne à nouveaux ? Il n’y a aucun menu paramètre dans l’application Merci ### 2/5 — Verbindung mit ipad instabil *2024-06-06, version 3.0.34* Nach der erfolgreichen Erstverbindung (Touchmix 16 über wired Verbindung mit WLAN Routervverbunden) meines iPad mit dem Touchmix 16, ging bei der folgenden Session nichts mehr. Eine Verbindung konnte nicht hergestellt werden, obwohl der TM16 am iPad „sichtbar“ war. Das Köschen des Nutzers zwecks Neuverbindung brachte nichts, ebenso wenig wie der Neustart beider Geräte. So macht das wenig Sinn und eine stabilere Verbindung wäre nötig, um den TM remote zu bedienen. Das Gleiche (Instabilität, Verbindungs-Infarkt) gilt für die on-board WLAN verbingung durch den WLAN Dongle. So nicht nutzbar. Sorry. QSC taking ages to fix the app for TM8/16. Should really have had a fix ready for when IOS 17 was released to the public. My app now does not work with my $2.5K TouchMix 16. The app connects, but the controls are disabled, so I have no remote access. I got a device that ran it properly, but there have been a couple times I updated my device and the app no longer worked, leaving me unable to run sound during gigs. Sometimes you have to update the mixer to fix this. It actually happened to me tonight. I’ve tried over and over for 3 days now.. copying every step I do with my other two phones. Just will not see each other. Bummer..I bought the iPad ($1300) strictly for this purpose. QSC doesn’t work as advertised…not anymore anyway. Merci ### 1/5 — Unprofessional staff, zero knowledge, extremely poor customer service. Avoid at any cost. *2024-06-28, version 3.0.34* QSC TouchMix-16. Ever since IOS update QSC remote control on the iPhone has issues. The main issue is that the mute buttons are greyed out and can’t be accessed. Selecting everything still has them greyed out. If I am not connected to the TouchMix WiFi the buttons work perfectly. I had a call back from QSC and the operator obviously had no idea about this problem. He claimed that the mute buttons were disabled because I might make a mistake because the iPhone is too small, what rubbish. I told him that if that was the case the mute button would light up in red showing that it was muted, furthermore it is impossible to slide the fader down and mute the channel at the same time. I have no idea where they get these technical people from. Since IOS 15 the mute buttons have been greyed out. Very unprofessional team, zero knowledge of their own product. I would be embarrassed to hire someone like that. ### 1/5 — Time’s a-wasting *2024-05-17, version 3.0.34* If I can’t control this mixer with my iPad, why would I use this? I wouldn’t. That is the whole point of this thing. Fixing this should be a priority for QSC. Not a problem with the software per se but a problem with the mixer. The only time an iPhone should be used with this app is for personal monitor mixes, and while that’s a nice feature to have you don’t want everyone messing with mixes and then complaining. And as with every piece of tech equipment, you need to spend some time with it. When I first got this mixer I spent a week figuring out work flow and the I added the app and it was completely seamless. This is a very good app with all the functionality of the mixer. Working in small to medium venues with just the usb WiFi dongle works great with my iPad. Loved the a&h but the touchmix is simpler to use and small enough to put on a chair next to me when gigging. The app is solid and exactly the same ui as the touchmix. Really works great. Make sure the mixer has the little USB wireless router button in the back (it ships with h in place) the go to settings on your iphone or ipad and chooses that network. Then go back and start the app and it works perfectly. If you don't need to be on a different network so that you can surf the web or whatever, you don't have to change networks again. It should be noted that you obviously can't get on a different network while you are hooked into the mixer. Only other thing negative about the unit is that documentation is woefully inadequate. So a bit more trial and error is necessary. But such a terrific unit! The band love it! We sound way better and less volume creep. Man wird ja auch älter und deshalb fallen manchmal auch Mischpultkilos ins Kaufgewicht. Nun baue ich den TouchMix irgendwo auf der Bühne auf, wo der Weg der Kabel am kürzesten ist. Das iPad liegt auf dem Notenpult des Keyboards und ich habe alles von dort in Griff. Kann sogar bei einer Moderation das iPad mitnehmen, ich kann die Aufnahme steuern und den Saal beschallen und wenn ich mir nicht sicher bin, wie es klingt, gehe ich mit dem iPad in den Saal.
