I saw in the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America Owner news for January and February 2024 that it is now free for MOA members. Has anyone tested this recently and put some feedback out anywhere? ### 3/5 — App stürzt im Navigationsmodus ab *2023-06-10* seit einiger Zeit stürzte die App im Navigationmodus immer kurz nach dem Öffnen ab. Beim Navigieren von „Meine Touren“ friert die App manchmal mitten in der Tour ein und lässt sich nicht mehr aktivieren. Nur die Geschwindigkeitsanzeige läuft noch… Nach Neuinstallation der App inkl. Karten (!) geht es dann wieder. Sehr schade, das war früher nicht so :( ### 2/5 — Super Idee, schlecht umgesetzt *2015-07-22* Zunächst im AppStore genau das was ich gesucht habe. Für knapp €10,- gekauft. Kann man sich sparen. ### 1/5 — I don't get it. *2014-07-16* I am highly experienced with iPhone navigation apps like Waze, Google Maps, the iOS maps, mapquest and many others. I spent over an hour trying to figure out how to make this app work. It is glitchy and lacks an intuitive interface. I never did figure out how to get even one route programmed. I even spent the $14 for the full features. Money wasted. ### 3/5 — Empfehlenswert ABER *2014-03-06* Beim erstellen eigener Routen stürzt die App bei mir ab. I’m really not happy that I gave away my personal information to this company… for NOTHING. The overall UI looks fine… and that’s where it ends. Nearly every feature is frustrating or counter-intuitive to find and use, there are too many widgets, and how can there be a ‘Friends’ tour without making clear how to invite/incorporate friends? Honestly: it feels like a Senior Project that never got finished. While the app has promise, it needs someone dedicated to making it work on a full-time basis… most frustrations I’ve uncovered should be simple code fixes. Why they would advertise in the NA BMW MOA mag is beyond me. ### 1/5 — Not ready for release. *2024-01-14* Looks like it may be an ok program, eventually, but currently is lacking; (Jan 2024). Not intuitive at all. I searched every icon presented & could not find how to place a waypoint or to ‘draw’ a route. Waste too much of a prospective user’s time & we’ll head back to those apps/programs we know. ### 1/5 — What a JOKE!! *2023-03-19* Wow! I wouldn’t even give this app 1 star but I guess I had to. To complicated and I ran out of time quickly to figure it out. Finger draw would have been a good concept but to small to use and it doesn’t follow the route I wanted to go. I could sure use the app space for something else. Sorry Tourstart, your gone! Deleted! Just like that! Ha! **Developer response:** I think you are too hard on us. The FingerDraw map/screen are limited by the size of your phone, and this is small by nature. Maybe one day. 4.8.22. **Developer response:** Hi LCohan, We just launched a big update of the app. Will you try this and give the rating another thought? We launched the "RideTwister" which can give an unlimited number of twisted route suggestions and also we launched the "FingerDraw" and "MapDraw" so you can draw the route directly on the map. ### 1/5 — It doesn’t work *2021-05-13* Short and sweet It’s a waste of money It just doesn’t work Zero stars here ### 1/5 — Not ready for prime time *2020-05-11* I tried to download some maps to no avail. The app said it was downloading, I have plenty of signal and after two hours no maps and the app confirmed that. Oh I tried to find what was the problem and went the FAQ and tried to use the users manual, which was a joke. Nada, nothing. A waste of time. I don’t like being a negative nelly but I found nothing in the app that worked. I use navigation apps at my job all day every day and when I am traveling ashore. I’m a big fan of backcountry hiking and have mapping programs for those pursuits. I have an app for when I am bicycling. The Tourstart app can not hold a candle to any of them. There does seem to be some good ideas in the mix that unfortunately don’t work and I have high hopes that with diligent efforts on the developers part they may be successful eventually. I would not have this available to the public until you have vetted it with people in the know as your going to ruin your customer base with negative ratings. So my suggestion is to take it off the market, work like hell to get a good stable product, change the name so old attitudes don’t follow you and make a splash. Lässt sich einfach nicht öffnen. Bitte dringend ein neues Update.
