At first I thought the theme and design are based on Aztec culture but I guess it’s chimu culture. I don’t know if it is not but I learned something today that I didn’t know before. The only reason it’s 3 stars is because the screen goes white and won’t play after I choose replay when game over. This happens with the challenging mode after the last level path madness. Challenge mode is tough. When I die, the screen goes white and I have to replay madness level again to jump on challenge mode level 1 every time. ### 3/5 — Pretty good *2021-04-11, version 1.1.6* I was really exited to get this game after seeing that I didn’t need arcade to get it but then I started playing it and noticed that it has so little gameplay compared to the Apple Arcade version😕 it’s still pretty good anyway but the point of the game is basically to get all the skins and to beat the path of insanity. Not as good as I expected but still pretty good ### 3/5 — Not loading level 3 *2019-12-15, version 1.1.5* Stops working after a few minutes of play. Nice looking game, but it doesn’t work very well. ### 3/5 — Towaga *2019-10-07, version 1.1.5* I don't remember what took me so long to play this, but I've had it for months and only just played it recently after the latest update. It does play a lot like Ziggurat with a splash of Savant Ascent (as many others have said), two games I happen to REALLY enjoy. The 'special' shot gauge being your health is a cool mechanic, and even though the 'let up' to collect killed enemies mechanic took a little gameplay before I got comfortable with it, it's also a very cool mechanic that's been incorporated into this game. The devs have done a great job of balancing the difficulty for a score chaser and the graphics are absolutely beautiful. This has quickly become one of the titles that's made it to my 'never delete' folder. If you're into score chasers and looking for a game with some very fluid play, well designed and integrated mechanics and challenging gameplay, I'd totally recommend you pick this up - if the developers ever update it. Because right now, it seems that no one can play past stage 3, and I have fallen into that camp too. I can try, but the screen just goes white and never fully loads. =/ So.... 5 star game, that's only getting 3 stars? Unfortunately, it has not loaded anything after level 3, preventing me from advancing or playing. Intuitive controls, challenging game play, and beautiful graphics! Reason for 1 star you ask? Inside the game it tells you more levels coming. The last update was a year ago. Great artwork, music and awesome intuitive controls. It's easy to pick up and play but hard to master. It challenges your reaction time and thinking all at the same time. And it runs at 60fps(optional)! Worth the $2.99 they are asking for if not more. One thing I would suggest though, is abilities! I think it would be awesome if the game had some kind of upgrade system that allows you to grow in power and destroy enemies faster as you progressed through the story. An upgrade system will add depth to the story. ### 5/5 — Addictive! *2017-01-18, version 1.0* I love arcade shooters. This is a unique take on it. Very fun! The learning curve is perfect in that it's not too easy, and not too hard, but you have to keep coming back to master it. It becomes a balance of timing and management of resources. Has the potential for greatness but crashes at the end of every level, forcing you to replay and hope it doesn't crash. I can't move on now because it crashes after I beat the 4th level every time.
