Why can’t this be fixed? We get a published calendar every year, so why can’t the city keep this app working through year end? ### 1/5 — Waste app *2025-12-30* This app worked extremely well until today!Getting rid of the blue bin confused the developers!!! ### 3/5 — Not working *2025-12-30, version 1.2.6* App said to delete and download new app. I did. Anyone with nighttime collection, or lives above a store on a main street, or in an apartment building. Why can’t it work for those categories? Make it make sense! Plus, for the addresses it *does* work for, it only gives the next two weeks collection info. The paper calendar they used to send in the mail showed the whole year, so why can’t the app? It would be awesome if the city hired some decent devs to bring this app up to modern standards. Being able to take a photo & have it ID where it belongs would be amazing… but since they can’t even get reminder notifications to work, nor even list the full collection schedule for ALL addresses—and that the app hasn’t been updated in over a year—I seriously doubt we’d get anything that “advanced” ### 1/5 — POS app doesn’t work correctly *2025-03-27* It never alerts me like it’s supposed to. ### 1/5 — Gotta look up address every time *2025-03-04, version 1.2.5* Not sure if this is a bug or if it’s by design but the tab that is supposed to show you your schedule requires you to lookup the address every time. It says setting it as your default address will prepopulate the schedule tab. This doesn’t happen and requires typing it every time in full since it also doesn’t retain search history. This app seems pretty useless and was poorly designed and implemented. What a waste of our tax dollars. ### 1/5 — TO waste reminders *2025-02-20, version 1.2.5* Useless App, as after I set up notifications in the App and correctly allowed notifications in Settings on my iPhone specifically for this App, from day one there have been no notifications sent to my iPhone. ### 1/5 — Waste of space *2025-01-21, version 1.2.5* This app is a total waste of space. Tried to save my address for garbage day and it will not save info. You get to the and there is a save button but you can’t get to it because you can’t scroll down to the bottom. The app doesn’t rotate at all to see if you can scroll to end of screen. Terrible app ### 2/5 — Great app till it suddenly wasn’t *2024-12-31, version 1.2.5* Worked just fine for many years and then when I requested to provide next pickup over Christmas/New Years 2024 the app requested I populate a default address when I enter my address in Shedule. No way to close the request screen to do anything so deleted and reloaded app. Same thing happened. All I can do is close and delete the app. ### 1/5 — Useless *2024-12-27, version 1.2.5* Garbage schedule still doesn’t work. ### 1/5 — Collection Schedule no longer works, app abandoned *2024-08-12, version 1.2.5* As many others have noted, the Collection Schedule tab no longer works. This is the #1 most important feature of the app, and it’s broken. Given how long it’s been since an app update — especially with its biggest feature non-functional — it is fair to say this app has been abandoned. ### 1/5 — Calendar is not functioning *2024-08-07, version 1.2.5* Downloaded the app to check the calendar on which weeks are garbage and which weeks are recycling. Well the app worked well for a few months however it the calendar function does not work at even after entering an address. Looks like the City overpaid for an App that underdelivers! They’ve sent out hard copy (paper) or use their website. I hope they fix it but it’s been 2 months now. I know there’s a new company but why spend all this money on an app that doesn’t have recycling included? Freezes when searching for pick up schedule for my address. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — The Waste Wizard is an amazing resource!! 🏆 *2025-09-09, version 1.2.5* I am so impressed with this app and whoever has been populating the Waste Wizard database with info about which items go into which type of waste bin! Very rarely do I look anything up and find it’s not yet in the database. It has made the previously stressful, uncertain matter of choosing where to put things (people do actually care about not polluting waste streams) almost fun. Honestly, it’s so clear & informative that there’s virtually no excuse for anyone to put any waste in the wrong place.
