When you realize that even if you spend real money on upgrades, the levels get so hard that you simply cannot make enough money from kills to be able to afford the bigger towers that you need to complete the hard levels. So the game kind of defeats itself with this impossible to ignore fact. If you can't make enough money from kills to build the towers you need (even if you kill every monster) then this game is fundamentally flawed right out of the gate, and impossible to progress (even if you spend real money on upgrades.) Sad because everything else about the game is great. ### 3/5 — Must have *2017-08-31, version 1.0* The pros are it's a fantastic TD game. One that should be in everyones collection. The cons are the purchases needed once you've already paid for the game. I get that programmers need to make a living. But games that are free have purchases in game. This game is a paid game with also these purchases required within. I would have given 5 star if it was a one off payment. I have purchased many games without there being more payments required. I just hope that these ingame incentive purchases are not essential. Time will tell. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Bug report *2023-02-14, version 2.4* Hyperion system, map 6:3 “puzzle map” hard is impossible, on the 5th run. will update review when fixed! ### 1/5 — Horrible *2021-12-25* horrible, pay to win and pretends there are more weapons and levels but after you complete everything it just says “coming soon” ### 1/5 — Can’t progress *2021-01-04, version 2.4* It doesn’t matter how many upgrades you buy you can’t advance beyond a certain point because you either don’t start with enough money or you don’t make enough killing the enemies to buy or upgrade towers fast enough to beat the level. This game hasn’t been updated in at least 3 years so I’m not sure why it’s still being advertised, it’s a waste of time. ### 1/5 — Geht’s noch??? *2020-03-23, version 2.4* Um die zweite Campagne zu spielen muss man erst alle ersten Level im Hard Mode schaffen. Das habe ich gemacht! Beim Klick auf die zweite Campagne kommt dann plötzlich die Ansage „Coming soon“ Nach 15€ in App Käufen fühl ich mich verarscht! Zumal jetzt wieder der Hinweis kommt, dass man erst alle Level im Hard Mode schaffen muss??? Bitte nachbessern!!!! ### 1/5 — Go replay Tower Madness *2017-08-26, version 1.0* First, literally half the buttons say Coming Soon Second, the "puzzle level" which is a straight rip off of Fieldrunners doesn't let you build towers while paused, so it's unbeatable Third, there are currently only 10 levels Fourth, it doesn't have any real charm, Fifth, it costs real money to buy the freaking railgun Sixth, make the game free then charge IAP for map packs. Charging $3 for this level of development just makes me mad. ### 2/5 — Jeux mal équilibré *2017-08-23, version 1.0* Jeux mal équilibré, a coi sert d'avoir déverrouillé les améliorations ci dans une parti il est impossible de récolter assez d'énergie pour les construire ?ou ci juste à la fin..... Trops de déséquilibre entre les armes/et les ennemis, pour gagné il ne faut faire que des tours simple sans les évoluer sinon c'est perdu d'avance.... Du potentiel mais il existe mieux. It took quite a while and a lot of different strategies to beat every level on hard. I wanted those locked turrets so bad! But last update was 5 years ago.
