Play carefully as this game can really be punishing if you make mistakes. I like playing through all the side stories, but a few of them do not work. A couple suggestions for the developer to improve this game specifically: -gold is very hard to earn on the first couple of floors- maybe adjust the gold output early to reduce some of the grinding early in the game. -in the slums, I couldn’t figure on how to get the painting from the old lady without attacking her- I suspect it has something to do with the monkey vendor and the characters pursuing him, a mechanic that also seems to not work. -the sick girl in the pink palace doesn’t seem to be connected to anything. The game hints at a way of helping her, but does not provide any means of doing so. -black root only triggers if you dust the urns between midnight and dawn, he will not spawn if you return during the window in which he is supposed to spawn. There may be other things, but those were the main ones I came across. I loved the game otherwise and can’t wait to check out all the endings! ### 3/5 — The UX was bad and the auto save is not there *2025-02-19, version 1.0.16* I really love the series since 2019, i played part 1-2 multiple times and the button very comfortable for 1 hand or not to reach my finger to the top of the screen to click the “X” button like the part 3. Both of the first two games were great, so I figured I would give the third a go. The degree of difficulty is much higher than the first two, especially because I was not interested in making in-app purchases. Seemed like enemy difficulty increased periodically even after using hour glass to reduce boss levels. Anyways, I had completed 3 of the endings (hoping to acquire them all) but accidentally answered a question wrong with an encounter and died immediately, losing everything even though I had 7 life potions! Frustrating to say the least. Really liked this game, just be very careful to not die and to answer questions correctly or you will be very irritated with the results. Also, NPCs are a nice touch but there are a couple I never figured out what to do with. Not sure if this is the result of glitches/bugs but I was a little confused with a few NPCs (monkey vendor/powderpuff girls, robot refugees, old woman in slums, among others). I lost progress and items that I’d earned and that’s when a game I’d dumped $40 into became garbage. I am a fan of the ToF games and this was really disappointing. ### 4/5 — A step down from ToF2 *2021-08-01, version 1.0.9* But still is a great game leaps and bounds better than the vast majority of games on the App Store. Would love to see the 100g for a 2X wager return, little mechanics like that would add that much more to the game ### 3/5 — If you like luck based *2021-07-06* I like the graphics a lot, and the atmosphere of the game is really good. My only issue is that the game is largely luck based, just like its prequels. It’s about a great team that lost their way after receiving a smidgen of success ### 1/5 — Are you kidding me? *2017-11-28* So game was pretty fun nice little adventure so I decided I'll dump some money in to get ahead spent about 50 (my money I'll do what I want) to get a whole bunch of good upgraded gear only to discover it's all taken away if you die you lose EVERYTHING all that gear all your potions your VIP ticket your craftables are taken away with no way to get them back putting you back to the bottom like you're just starting the game again all you get is your gold after paying for this game and then paying even more for some extras this is what you get for dying which is really easy I must mention half the npcs you encounter are out for blood the other half want a large amount of money for the most mundane things definitely not going to continue playing this I was super sold at first now not at all ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Completely underrated *2025-09-01, version 1.0.16* The tower of fortune Games have always had a special place in my heart. I used to play these up and down so many years ago but that doesn’t change the fact that I still constantly play these games again, whenever I have the chance. Huge props to the creator/s. I am looking forward to more of your content, it’s always a blast to try out your games, with the ToF series crowning it off. Be wary the game does have permadeath if you die you lose your items and start fresh gold stays run to run though. Stay in the prison as long as possible, visit the burning stake and mercy kill the prisoner once a day, you can get VIP passes for free, and do not kill the beast in the skull gate on floor 1 to obtain an ally. There’s really no reason to spend real dollars on the game after the initial purchase.
