### 4/5 — Fun game found one bug

*2022-10-16, version 4.0*

Pretty fun dungeon crawler.
I did find one bug (iPhone XS Max): you can’t equip relics in portrait mode - you have to change to landscape otherwise the slot can’t be interacted with.

### 4/5 — Great but breaking bug

*2022-03-12, version 3.02*

The game is great. I enjoy the variety of towers and equipment setup. My only complaint is I’m now having the game crash every time I am on a ghost tower. The game closes when a ghost starts to attack me and I lose my progress.

### 4/5 — Good, but missing story

*2021-02-17, version 2.0*

Like many others have noted, this game is quite fun for the first few hours or so as you are learning the mechanics and getting loot. For me, however, once I learned the gameplay mechanics, got some good gear, the fun started to lull a bit. I think what could really make this game better is a decent story. If it had a good story that kept me motivated I would have no problem at all continuing playing. As it is, however, it’s a few hours of fun then gets repetitive.

### 4/5 — Freeze Fest

*2021-01-01, version 2.0*

I will give the game its props. The game itself is great, nice graphics, and great overall feel for a time waster on phone. But i don’t know what anyone else is using to play this game, but me personally, I have THE-E Iphone 12 pro max and it is still freezing up. Winter here I guess so if you want a nice hand warmer play this game and your hands will be toasty in about 10-20 min. Again though it’s not the game that im at fault with, the game itself is great in my opinion; however, what the .):);!; am I supposed to use to play this game if I have the “best “ already?

### 5/5 — Cannot level up beyond lvl40?

*2020-07-09, version 1.2*

Seems that my character cannot level up to lvl41. Is there a hurdle that needs to be completed before?

### 5/5 — Dungeon Crawler

*2020-06-26, version 1.2*

Been playing a few days now and love it! Very smooth on my IPad Pro. Control is very easy once you get used to it some. There is still a lot of things that could be added to make it much better, but thats what updates are for! Can’t wait to see what’s in store next for this game!

### 5/5 — An awesome game

*2020-06-22, version 1.2*

This is easily my favorite game on the market. This is worth the iArcade subscription alone. I love old school dungeon crawlers like Eye of the Beholder. This game hits the spot, the graphics are nice, the controls are easy, and the progression system is interesting enough. I really dont have anything to say for cons, its all positive for me.

### 4/5 — Overall fun, could use some expanded features

*2020-06-07, version 1.1*

Mini bosses / bosses would add a lot, and fill out it the story that stops at level 40. The game mechanics are generally pretty fun (I played through as the rogue character in a weekend). Just needs more content to become a 5 star game in this genre.

### 3/5 — Potential

*2020-06-07, version 1.1*

Ok so I am coming from a past of playing bards tale and wizardry. This game could reach that but right now it is a bit like a kids version of those games. Let us search or destroy barrels and other things. Maybe craft or something. It is very empty in these towers. Make it a bit frightening to explore towers. Dunno it just feels like it could be good but it needs to take itself more serious.

### 3/5 — Tedious battery-killer

*2020-06-04, version 1.0*

This starts off fairly well, but then quickly devolves into a dirgey dungeon-crawler. There’s really not much variety in the indoor or outdoor areas. Enemies are fairly easy to defeat every time, once you learn how to properly use your equipped weapons.

Even better, this game drains my iPad’s battery at a rate of ~1% every minute at the default settings. Turning off all of the graphics options helps immensely, and the graphics don’t suffer too much since they’re already fairly utilitarian to begin with.

The touch controls are also frequently infuriating, because you’ll find yourself turning when you want to strafe, and strafing when you want to slide. Also, when attempting to strafe, you’ll occasionally hit one of the weapons buttons instead. Ideally, movement would be handled with on-screen buttons on either the left or right side (user-configurable, of course).

### 3/5 — Great game, but limited

*2020-06-03, version 1.0*

This game is surprisingly great. The level 40 limit is not great, I was just really getting into crawling and gear and upgrades.

Another issue is finishing quests and not being able to turn them in. Has happened to me many times.

If this level cap was fixed this game would be infinitely playable. Can only get better.

### 1/5 — Major bugs not saving games

*2020-06-24, version 1.2*

Be me, download this game. Loving it. Spend 3 hours get up above level 20. It works with my Bluetooth game controller. Go to bed, wake up the next day and it says it has a conflict in the game saves and to choose which game to load. Naturally I choose the one that is the later time stamp and right around the time I went to bed. As it loads it says I’m level four and just wasted three hours of my life.

Similarly was playing before that and suddenly the game crashed and it reverted me to the previous dungeon and went back five levels.

I do enjoy this game it is very enjoyable but this bug has hit me twice already. It’s simply aggravating to work on building a character in any RPG game only to be reverted hours of work, and loss of any of the awesome items you had. I had full yellow equipment already, and now I have literally nothing back to my second dungeon ever. 1/10 wait for them to fix this save game crap.

Developer: Please do whatever you can to ensure game progress like this is NEVER lost.

### 1/5 — For what it is not what it should be

*2020-06-24, version 1.2*

First call it what it is, a first person shooter; I can not call it a RPG, since there is no other interaction than smack, smack and kill. Second, after a couple of tower clearances it is boring, essentially the same thing every tower, even once towers have traps. There is no puzzle solving, no finesse, no strategy ; just run the plan, smack the creatures and move on. Even the merchant and build generators are rather simple and merchants seem useless. The create/forge area could have so much more promise if the number of combinations and inputs were enlarged but as it stands not much help.

This is a oh-hum game, not really worth time and energy to go through the pay menu. Certainly, not worth the monthly Arcade subscription price. Nothing new here but images and graphics are fun.

### 2/5 — Simplistic

*2020-05-24, version 1.0*

This says 9 years-old and up but it could be 5 and up. Combat is horribly simple, easy, and boring. You can block everything easily. There is also no environment interaction other than looking for chests on each floor. No investigation, no reason to look around or explore.

### 3/5 — My review on towers of Everland

*2023-01-15, version 4.0*

I’ve Been playing this game For weeks and it’s addictive I love it so much. It has a good plot good tower and everything. But when I logged onto the app today it took my level back 20 levels so I lost so many things. My weapon my upgrades my stores and everything. It was very hard to go through and I don’t know what I’m going to do which is why I ate this game 3 stars

### 3/5 — Engaging, but repetitive

*2021-09-07, version 3.01*

Initially, it was fun learning different ply styles between the various classes. But after leveling two toons to 50 reaching Reknown tower levels of 9, it became a bore. Same enemies, same dungeon patterns, minute increments to loot drops. Some loot ridiculously under-leveled.

Play it for awhile! Have fun learning the nuances. But don’t expect it to engage you for than a few months at best.

### 3/5 — Good for what it is

*2021-08-26, version 3.01*

Don’t get the impression that this is a full-on CRPG with a story and stuff. Your stats grow and you upgrade gear, so it’s technically an RPG, but really we’re looking at an “unlocked” ftp action title. The motion and combat are super smooth and quite enjoyable, but overall it’s pretty simple and feels rather shallow. You just grind randomized simple dungeons: clear enemies, loot the few chests, get to the roof, upgrade the town, and repeat, and repeat, and repeat, and repeat.

### 3/5 — Great game but one issue...

*2021-01-30, version 2.0*

I love this game but after getting to level 40 and reknown 4, I’ve been unable to upgrade anything as I cannot seem to find the Master Forger Hammer, Writ and the Adventure Map. I would love to keep playing but I’d like some more variety of towers and more gear to choose from at the trader. Maybe the developers can chime in on how to find these items? I’ve scoured Google and have been unable to find any help. Thanks!

### 3/5 — Starts off strong then goes glacial

*2020-12-06, version 2.0*

For the first few hours, the rinse and repeat crawling is fun, learning the mechanics but by the time you hit the legendary ranks, skills drop off, and you’ve seen what little variation the game has. I

Mostly you’re just loot hunting, checking which weapons/armor has the best stats and taking ages to hopefully get rare hammers to upgrade as the legendary towers are brutal and you need gear to get by. That might be fine but the repetition is tedious.

Moving around the map is cumbersome, and often quite frankly the obstacles aren’t fun, walking around random debris is cumbersome (probably easier on a game pad) and some traps are tedious and more of a hazard of accidental movement (trying to turn and walking into the trap). Also, magical weapons become the default as they are as effective in melee and do ranged damage. You end up in heavy armor as you need it to survive and magic wands and skipping everything else late in the game.

The game lost its fun and felt like a chore, grinding endlessly, and without much of a story or motivation to go on and ten + hours in, there’s not really a reason I want to keep playing. It feels like it was arbitrarily extended when it could have wrapped up as a pocket sized adventure (things like a town is reduced to a few 90s-esq buttons, giving it a streamlined feel already) as about 8-10 hours let’s you experience most of everything of sequence. I’ve tossed the towel myself and probably should have sooner.

### 3/5 — Fun Game, but...

*2020-08-09, version 1.2*

I enjoy the game well enough, has some pretty good elements, except the part where you have to redo an entire tower over again if you die...not so bad on lower levels...but since higher level towers get pretty dicey...dev’s please reconsider this. I don’t enjoy having to spend another 30 minutes redoing everything I just did.

### 3/5 — Fun game, but repetitive

*2020-07-06, version 1.2*

I have enjoyed playing the game but there isn’t much difference between levels and there’s no story to speak of. The crafting and upgrading is fun but the loot is mostly generic. I like the mechanics and gameplay overall, but I wish there was more variety

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great rpg

*2022-09-03, version 4.0*

Been playing this for several days. Thought it was nearing the end and it opened up even more huge possibilities. Big game, fun combat, continues to surprise.

### 5/5 — Needs an update

*2022-05-23, version 3.02*

First and foremost, great game. Very unique to the Apple game store. That said, this game needs an update desperately to up the replay-ability. New modes, gear, enemies, co-op, etc. keep up.

### 5/5 — Good, old-fashioned fun with no IAP

*2022-03-02, version 3.02*

Really like the throw-back to old style RPG dungeon crawls (though it’s towers, but feels the same). Overall, good progression and variety of items and crafting.

One suggestion if the devs are out there still, weapons and shields take up too much of the screen. When playing Kronk, 50% of the screen is the hammer and back of the shield. For the Traveller, the small wands are good but the later wands are dead center in the screen and make it difficult to see what you’re shooting at. Please lower them and/or make them smaller.

Overall, if you like this kind of game you will enjoy it!

### 5/5 — LOVE IT. Just wanted a new mode…

*2021-06-22, version 3.01*

I LOVE TOWERS OF EVERLAND. I just made it to MASTER towers It is an awesome game, BUT, I feel like an online multiplayer mode would really make this game more fun than it already is. I also have ideas for the mode: 1. when one person makes it to the next floor, they will spectate until all players make it, 1. when all players are dead, they loose; one player does not have to die to end the game for everyone, 3. There should be some more chests, as well as monsters, depending on how many players there are in the game. I really hope this comes to towers of everland. Again, I love the game. Keep up the good work!

### 5/5 — Great game!

*2021-05-19, version 3.01*

One if my favorite Apple Arcade games, not too hard not too easy either and a healthy grind.

One question though, what does “Clockwork” do? There is no description.

### 5/5 — One of the best!

*2021-03-12, version 2.0*

Amazing rpg, dungeon crawler and character progression. Great gameplay with excellent controls. An excellent endgame with gear progression and great replay ability. On top of that, the devs are very active and listen to the player base. One of the best mobile apps out there!

### 5/5 — Use a gamepad

*2020-11-22, version 2.0*

This game is pretty good! Lots of dungeoneering, (or should I say towerneering?), looting, crafting, questing! I recommend using a gamepad though, not because the controls are bad, no, but because it makes the gameplay much more fluid and less tiring from all the swipes. :)

### 5/5 — Awesome game!!! But

*2020-11-16, version 2.0*

It’s awesome but as soon as you reach the renowned towers it’s impossible to beat and I can’t figure out how to make mythic weapons which seems critical not much help but overall I enjoyed the game a lot

### 5/5 — Well Done

*2020-11-10, version 2.0*

Honestly this game is great. And a job well done listening to player feedback and providing a fully customizable character! Would love to see more tower varieties or some more classes and overall job well done

### 5/5 — I don’t usually write reviews...

*2020-11-06, version 2.0*

I am in love with this game. It is extremely in depth for a phone game and is one of the few games where I don’t really have any suggestions, as it seems they’ve included every good idea I can think of. It definitely reminds me of Rpgs from the 90’s, while adding new elements and being extremely addictive. The graphics are beautiful and I cannot stop myself from playing. I saw this game in the store and thought it would be a fun 90’s style phone rpg, however it turned out to be much more than a phone game or clone. The including lore and storytelling is great, and I’ve found myself investing as much time in it as I would a console or pc games. Awesome job!
