Megaphone and translation hasn’t worked in months yet we get constant megaphones which obviously we can’t use! It would also be nice if townkins also brought back tools every time we send them off instead of getting lucky cards and lightning all the time. Maybe if you could sell the extra clothing you don’t need in the stand, or maybe you can give your friends permission to build on your plot but you give them a limit so they don’t buy everything! There was also one guy who saw my profile pic and was saying we’d be married one day and he’s asking for pics of me that are nudes... I’m only 12 and he’s 30... so be extremely careful, it’s fun and all but be careful with the people. ### 3/5 — Too Many Notifications *2020-02-14, version 1.8.193* I love this game so much. It’s one of my favorite mobile games. It’s cute and it’s fun and it’s a good way to pass the time. But the notifications have annoyed me so much even if they’re on silent. I can get so many within the span of 30 minutes and it’s ridiculous. It’s so annoying to swipe down on my phone to check my notifications and see I have like 20 from this game. I’m so close to just turning off notifications completely. I get notifications for literally anything and everything even after trying to fix my settings for which notifications I’d get. I still get so so much and it’s ridiculous. It’s so naggy and annoying. ### 4/5 — It’s Very Upsetting *2019-06-10, version 1.7.184* I love the Game a lot! I just think you should add a feature where you can leave your own family and get all your coins back for it. I’ve been trying to get people to join but it’s just a waste. I thought I could have a big community of nice people but all it is to me is a waste. It upset me that I couldn’t have a nice community of people but it never really worked. That’s one little thing I ask thank you!~ ### 3/5 — Probably shouldn’t bother me so much but.. *2018-11-25, version 1.3.145* The lucky wheel? I absolutely hate how it works. On your first spin, you will most likely get a brown square with a very small chance of getting a yellow one. All the clothes are on blue & purple squares, and they’re kind of impossible to get without saving up and spending a ton of tickets. It should be that you most likely get a brown or yellow square, and the chance gets slightly smaller for each different colored square. ### 4/5 — Could use more features... *2018-09-17, version 1.2.135* I do love this game, it is the most sweetest and cutest game I know. However, there are a few things that could make this game be better. The game really feels underdeveloped, since there are many things missing, the most important one being communication between people. The communication and the way people talk feels very limited, and restricted. I don’t think this review has enough space to cover all the problems it has regarding these limitations. However, other than that, the farming is fine, the decorating is splendid, however everything is amazingly expensive in the in-game currency. That has me in the blues, since it’s hard to be creative to my own character. The most interesting part of this game that got me to download it was that I could decorate my character and change their styles. However, it seems quite difficult to do that. Town decoration is really easy to access however, it is hard to store things back. Quests are wonderful, the characters are great, I really love how they have their own backgrounds. They seem really adorable. I just wish we could learn more about Kyle and Uncle Moon as well. I also wish the characters were more interactive in a way. Downloaded with very little interest and became attached pretty quickly. I have one question though. Who is Uncle Moon and why is he buying my items from the market stand? I love your unique avatar and home design! My friend also plays this and they enjoy it as much as I do. We both have one suggestion: Please add a way to trade clothing and unwanted furniture! We both really hate some of our clothes and love others and would die to trade them. Besides that, your game is golden. Please consider adding that feature in one of your future updates. It will be super helpful. Thank you for the game! Yes, we know about the craft store and that is another problem. My friend is higher than me in the game and they have much more duplicates of clothing but we don’t know how to do it. Best wishes. ### 3/5 — Flower upgrade time & amount fail *2018-08-16, version 1.1.125* I purchased diamonds and used them to upgrade my flowers. I upgraded the amount of flowers and the amount of time it takes for them to grow. Neither one of those options are working. I’ve had other glitches in the past that took a few days to correct. I sent a detailed email with pictures provided. I hope this will be corrected, but I also think that I should be reimbursed for the amount of diamonds that I spent to upgrade those two features. I didn’t ask for any compensation when my game was glitched for three days, but this just isn’t right. That stopped the quest line until the problem was resolved. I love the game, but at times it’s very glitchy. Hopefully someone can help me. If this didn’t happen. I would have given it 5 Stars. NEWEST EDITED: I had 1,926 diamonds. The next second I went to buy a parcel and I had 3 diamonds. I sent the email with pictures provided. I’m really disgusted at the moment. This isn’t right at all. It’s very hard to earn diamonds, and when you do it’s only one or two at a time even though most things that require diamonds cost much, much more than that. Clothes in the shop, for example, are 90 diamonds or more. You can watch ads for free diamonds, but again, you only get one diamond each time you do. True, you don’t HAVE to use diamonds to play the game, but it is frustrating. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — App is dying-Don’t get invested or spend money on it!! *2022-11-24, version 1.8.200* Use to love this game but it’s getting more and more buggy with the lack of updates and fixes. Had someone steal everything out of family inventory without even being a member the other day. You can no longer use the announcement feature in game even with tokens. The translate button has also stopped working and there is no way to contact support. Tried sending a message via the Instagram account but even that appears to have been inactive for years. Sad to see a fun game with such a dedicated player base slowly withering away. Will have to find something else to invest my time and funds in coz this is no longer it. I have tried to buy the event pack and it charges me for it but i dont get the diamonds. I have tried twice. Tried contacting the app support through the app and the messages dont go through. Tried sending an email an no response. Bad customer service. You have to also make this game more accessible to get diamonds and cards because its hard and not everything is about money. Not everyone has money to spend. Be more kind to people. You have to improve lots of things. Also this game give access to people to bully other people wich is not ok because children play this game as well. I have spent WEEKS before getting a single BM drop on hundreds of eligible activities. Those who do get drops charge outrageously for trade deals. Pals all agree the only thing we can think of is that the developer must be manipulating the algorithms to slow down progress, perhaps because higher levels are not yet developed It is extremely discouraging, and I think I might quit. This game used to be fun, but the higher level I have achieved, the lower the enjoyment. Devs, please respond by adjusting drops. I’m not the only one who is ready to ditch — I’m just one who has bothered to take the time to tell you. Peace! ### 1/5 — In app purchases took my money *2019-05-11, version 1.7.184* I have spent over $90 in the last 90 days successfully and received the appropriate rewards per purchase. HOWEVER my last attempt at purchases I spent over $55 dollars and my money was taken by Apple/townkins and I received NOTHING. I have contacted support several times and they just brush me off and point finders at the App Store. Your game froze at purchase and you took my money for nothing. I want my purchases or I want my money back! So upset/disappointed. You took my money for nothing. ### 1/5 — DISGUSTING ADS *2019-02-15, version 1.6.173* For a game that’s supposed to be ages 4 and up, I was SHOCKED when my child showed me an ad that’s for a game about growing marijuana. Not only is the game being advertised inappropriate for children, but the ad is very sexual in nature and shows close ups on two actual female bottoms dressed in skimpy bikinis. Since watching ads gives children diamonds they are motivated to watch ads. I am going to have to delete this game if we see this ad one more time. If the developers are so desperate for revenue that this type of ad is now acceptable in a childrens’ game, they’re going to see a steep drop in users once parents take notice. I, for one, will be warning all of my child’s friends’ parents to delete this game. It’s a shame because my child really enjoys it... !!!PARENTS BEWARE : ADS ARE NOT AGE APPROPRIATE!!! ### 1/5 — Really? *2018-08-10, version 1.1.125* So I started playing, and it was somewhat fun. Whenever I go somewhere, I go through all the fences and buildings, and the buildings turn invisible. And, this looks like a complete copy of HayDay. The crops, the animals, the animal feed, the bakery, and all the buildings! Everything is the same other then the graphics and people. Another thing, it's super annoying when at the bottom of your screen, it flashes every time someone gifted something to someone else. I don't need to know what people are gifting each other! Make this original and fix these, I can't believe my friend waited 4 months to install this! And I'm also confused about how to chat. Can someone explain how? EDIT: I have not played it at all, it’s super boring, and it is pretty much hayday but with houses and characters. And, I was brought to the app thinking it was a roleplaying game. Nope! The buildings turn transparent when you walk around/near them to help you find your character. We were certainly inspired by Hay Day, but actually our features and content are very different. We have customizable avatars and homes, and our game is based on social interaction between players. Townkins is based on helping other people, chatting, hanging out with friends, playing mini-games, and interacting with attractions. Thank you for your feedback about the notifications at the bottom, we will see what we can do about it! To chat with other players, tap on the yellow triangle to the right of your screen. From there, you can see two options: Town Chat and Global Chat. Town Chat is where you can chat to anyone in your Town. Global Chat is where you can chat with anyone else who is online. Finally, there is 1:1 chat, where you can tap on another avatar that you can see and initiate a 1:1 private chat with them. Hope this helps! Best wishes. ### 2/5 — Clickbait Ads + Copy *2018-07-09, version 1.0.102* I downloaded this app because I saw an ad for it’s great character customization, and 30 seconds in I can see I was lied to. Four hairstyles per gender? 4 outfits? What happened to your ad where it was nonstop scrolling through outfits? You don’t even have short hairstyles for girls. It’s not that hard to incorporate assets like this that make your audience feel more involved, so I’m pretty disappointed so far. Playing further this game is a clear clone of games like FarmVille 2, HayDay, and more. Also, why do I need to get notifications for OTHER players giving others things..? That’s so stupid, I’m sorry. ### 3/5 — Love the game but needs updates *2023-01-25, version 1.8.200* This game is fun especially when you just start out. The characters are cute and the variety of costumes allows you to customize your character how you want. There are so many things you can do such as farming, producing products and filling orders. You can join a team and help it grow while competing against other teams. You can play solo and still enjoy the aspects of the game. However the game has been lost in the developers mind as it hasn’t had any major updates in 3 years. Everything about the game is the same so it has become stagnant. I would enjoy this game more if there was something new to make me want to play. ### 3/5 — Translate feature broken *2022-11-23, version 1.8.200* At least in my version of the game, the Translate button keeps saying, “Please try again”. Whenever there’s a comment in the chat in a different language, the Translate button should translate the comment into the language I use. It worked when first started playing this game, but who knows if it’s an operating system upgrade on my device that caused the translate option to stop working or the game itself decided not to translate anymore. It would be nice if it was working again. ### 3/5 — Townkins great game but? *2020-04-08, version 1.8.193* The game is great and fun but! You never have enough room in barn, house and etc. The right building materials are hard to get, and never easily sold. The game tends to be cliquey nobody is very help unless you get into a great group. To be really successful you pretty much have to spend real money for in app purchases. I love the game but got tired of spending real $$$’s, so I deleted the game because all these types of game end up being really expensive and I’m honest enough not to use cheats if there are such a thing. I really enjoy the graphics and how it runs and works! It’s so fun and cute. I love that there aren’t a bunch of ads popping up in your face and you can have fun with it! It’s a good challenge but very doable! I have been playing for years and appreciate it very much! Great time passer and I enjoy keeping my little town going and growing. It recently was said that they are taking this game down and that would make me and sooo many others very upset and I hope it stays! I wish they didn’t choose to shut the game down. I used to play HayDay a lot (like all the time), however that was years ago. A few months back I stumbled upon Townkins and have been hooked ever since then! What I believe makes it better than all the other farming games like HayDay is that it is very customizable. For instance, I can customize not only my farm, but I can also customize my character and the inside of my house too! Other farming games don’t have that. Also, there is a world chat and if you ever need help with something, you can go there and surprisingly enough it is quite easy to find someone willing to help you with what you need. I just love everything about it! It’s one of my favorite games I play daily, and to be honest I couldn’t have asked for a better farming game than this. Its well rounded, meaning you have a little of everything. You have some farming, decorating your town/home and helping your friends. I like that you dont NEED to pay to play. Of course its slower to earn gems but watch an ad or two and its optional- no ads are shoved in your face. If you want something to relax and play this is perfect for you. I’ve been looking for a fun game that’s very community based. The developers are very considerate and take time to answer any comments or questions you may have of the game.
