**Commonly reported bugs**

- Crashes right after Netflix login screen
- Crashing multiple times, losing progress
- Gets to Netflix logo and crashes
- App won't even start
- Game isn't playable, closes immediately after login
- Doesn't even open
- Instantly crashes
- Lost all progress when downloading update
- Update erased all saves and progress
- 3.0 update erased all progress, achievements, and save games
- Lost Progress!
- Bug: Trial stage 6 does not produce resources
- Game won't load after Netflix logo, just crashes
- Crashes all the time
- Update doesn't work
- Furthest I've gotten is Netflix login, normal just crashes after logo
- Tried on three different devices, same result
- Chat help wasn't effective
- Game drains battery to 10% while charging
- Kept losing all buildings
- Game would load old game levels instead or just wipe out everything
- Can’t even compete the first task because the goal is missing
- Fire burning, cannot find any way to deal with it
- Opening app on iPad closes off outside music
- Can’t even watch Picture in Picture while playing
- When placing items down, it doesn’t always register
- Removing also can be tricky as it will almost always remove part of a road if you select multiple items
- Accuracy of the two arrows to create a road are highly inaccurate
- Building with touchscreen needs improvement, things just don’t go where you want them to go
- Screen resetting every season is annoying
- Some buildings disappear with no explanation
- Others get burned down without you having any chance to stop it
- Tutorial is bad
- User interface is horrible. It’s impractical and icons are so small
- The main menu continue automatically goes to your last saved game.
- When placing items down, it doesn’t always register that you are placing or moving things.
- In this view, you can’t zoom in or out, good luck getting buildings in the right place.
- Removing also can be tricky as it will almost always remove part of a road if you select multiple items.
- The roads are ridiculous! Aside from accidentally removing a road, not being able to zoom in while adding, but then the accuracy of the two arrows to create a road are highly inaccurate.
- Town people are rarely happy they spend most of their time complaining
- Winter season snow and no fields but the game demands farm products wheat and such it makes no sense
- Buildings cannot be moved your town will look messy because it grows slowly and it is impossible to plan.
- Tutorial is terrible no explanation beyond the villagers demand this..
- The game menu is equally poor it will take some time to figure out most commands and items have no name you could be mining iron or something else who knows.
- Frustrating at first then fun as you figure it out then boring because it is repetitive.
- Everyone moves so slow. The whole interface is so bad that it feels like a game from the 80s. The instructions are very vague. Frustrating
- A million drop down menus, tabs, and sub folders but no intuitive method of game play. It is so clunky that the frustration of terrible interaction is overwhelming.
- In out of the frying pan all my building says resource is full, but none of them are actually producing any resources.
- Game won’t load after the Netflix logo, it just crashes 😭
- Too complicated to work out - you click on menus but it is unclear what action you need to take or you have taken. It seems that clicking on sleep mode actually get workers perform a task?? After 1/2 hour exploring I deleted the app - not worth the time and graphics are terrible!
- Too much work to figure out. Stumbled around for 30 minutes. Gave up. It could be good if there was a tutorial.
- No idea how to use the controls. Probably the least intuitive game I’ve ever tried to play where controls are concerned. Complete waste of time
- There is no pause
- The game isn’t playable, it immediately closes after you log in. Can’t rate a game that doesn’t even open…..
- The name of this game should be changed to BUILDING REPAIR SHOP. Because thats all you do in this game. There is no option to repair all buildings and all building need repairs all the time!!! Buildings cant be moved!! Population is unhappy doesn’t matter what you do. There no headings or labels in menus to describe what the list is about!!! Tasks are given and they cant be fulfilled as they are stupid and unachievable There are so many annoying things that I just deleted the game!!!
- Opening this app on iPad closes off outside music. I turned off the sounds, and it still won’t let me play my music. This is a delete for me, unless they fix it. Most games don’t take control over what you listen to.
- Game crashes constantly and as a result I've just lost all my progress, hours of gameplay all for nothing. What a joke.
- You can’t even watch Netflix with Picture in Picture while you play this game… so stupid
- This game is good but you can never find what your looking for!
- Always loads of problems to sort out! Mega annoying sometimes.
- Can’t even compete the first task because the goal is missingZ terrible directions for this
- So many clicks, have a fire burning, cannot find any way to deal with it. Ridiculous. It feels like it was designed by an adhd squirrel. So disorganized and unplayable - it’s not challenging because it’s a good puzzle, it’s just frustrating.
- Furthest I’ve gotten in the game is the Netflix log in normal just crashes after the Netflix logo. Have tried on three different devices same result. Chat help wasn’t effective.
- I played for ~1 hour and it drained my battery to 10% WHILE the iPad Pro was charging. 🤷🏻
- Not at all intuitive. Frankly, it’s frustrating. You have to click through like five subfolders to do anything. And that’s the only challenging thing. There’s nothing else to the game. Tap, wait for timer to end and tap again. Zero fun. It’s not even a unique concept. I expect better from Netflix.
- This could of been good but there are bugs in the game. I kept loosing all my buildings. The game would load old game levels instead or just wipe out everything I just spent ages on when levelling up. Just becomes painstakingly annoying and can’t be bothered anymore. Every windmill, bakery, field, town house, everything gone in a moment. Maybe one day they can fix their bugs as this was looking like a fun game. Right now I don’t have the energy to start again
- The constant repairing of buildings is stupid. Whoever decided that every 10 seconds you have to repair buildings should play the game when you have lots of buildings. Not sure if there’s a research option to make that longer but early game it’s pretty annoying.
- Next thing is that you’ll have to constantly build new warehouses as your storage will always be full. There is a research option level 7 but again. Early game it’s terrible if you want to buy things off the merchant.
- This game is frustrating due to its limited function. You need to play the scenarios so you can never develop the civilization like other strategy games. Whilst you have moments of success, the quests force the depletion of resources so much and so frequently that play is not enjoyable. I’m deleting the app.
- Clone of long PC ignored game type (similar to Caesar, but more basic), and what is typically designed as a limited progression, timed money grabber.
- Confusing what you do to solve the quests. Even with audio turned off it turns off my other audio like music or book.
- Even the tutorial is so confusing and difficult to follow!
- It is not your typical city builder, though. There are economic balances, happiness challenges, needs challenges. Warning: if the scenario says HARD, they mean it. Try endless modes as the still have quests, you can chose whether to have military needs or not. Give this more than a five minute try. Also, if you need help go to discord. The developing team are very helpful!
- This game has learned zero lessons from all the other successful city and empire builders. It’s not fun right from the beginning and you don’t even want to find out if it gets better.
- Paying the ridiculous Netflix monthly fees, I figured why not try a game, since at least there are no in-app purchases required? (I'd rather have lower monthly fees instead of games though)
- This is a city building game, and while it's a good way to waste time, directions are poor and the UI is reminiscent of 2005. You build a town as the Governor and try to keep the townsfolk happy. You have little tasks to complete, then move on to the next level. That's about it.

### 2/5 — Almost a hit.

*2025-08-24*

I’ve been looking for a game like Foundation. Still needs work. Screen reseting every season is annoying. Building with touchscreen needs improvement, things just don’t go where you want them to go. Menu system is difficult to navigate. Something as easy as showing the population to housing ratio would be nice. Crashing multiple times, losing my progress and starting over.
I think the one thing that annoyed me the most was to constantly having to repair the buildings. Once you get so many buildings up a running, you pretty much use all your money repairing buildings.

### 2/5 — Could be really fun but it’s not

*2025-08-01*

It doesn’t give good advice and it throws to much at you to fast without explaining what you need to do. There’s a lot of instruction and I read a lot but it doesn’t really help you actually play effectively. It just becomes really frustrating really fast. Plus it moves the building every time you reload and some buildings disappear with no explanation and others get burned down without you having any chance to stop it. Just overall would not play again but it has really good potential. Who knows maybe I just didn’t play it correctly.

### 1/5 — Does not work

*2025-05-13, version 3.0.0*

The game crashes right after the Netflix login screen

### 5/5 — Love this game!

*2025-04-18*

Really love how this game combines building, production, and storytelling. Love that you can play different stories in the scenarios and special campaigns.

### 5/5 — Unexpectedly good (for me)

*2025-04-17, version 3.0.0*

I wasn’t sure about this game at first because of the reviews, but now that I’ve completed both campaigns (the tutorial and The Seaside Empire) along with all the scenarios, I have to say—I really enjoyed it! It didn’t grab me right away, but once I finished the tutorial campaign, I found myself totally hooked.

I’d say, if you’re on the fence, give it a shot. At the end of the day, whether a game is ‘good’ or not is highly subjective—so the best way to know is to try it for yourself!

### 1/5 — Tutorial is bad

*2025-04-11, version 3.0.0*

This game has one of the worst tutorials ever.

### 5/5 — New stuff

*2025-02-12, version 3.0.0*

It really needs new stuff please :( good game but after 5 years from the OG developer, and 2 from Netflix, something new is needed.

### 2/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-01-05, version 3.0.0*

Gets to the Netflix logo and just crashes. Latest iOS too and 16 pro max

### 1/5 — Ew

*2024-10-14*

If a game lets you place buildings where you want, you’d think it’d actually keep them where YOU placed them. I was mildly enjoying this until I realized it moved where I placed buildings. I rarely leave reviews, but this disgusted me so much I had to leave one.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2024-10-07, version 3.0.0*

I really like it
