## What is Toyota Dashcam Viewer?

The TOYOTA DASHCAM App allows access to your genuine TOYOTA DASHCAM with your iPhone using the built in WIFI connection.  Adjust the camera settings and/or download your memorable videos directly using your iPhone.

App Features:
-	View and download your recorded videos directly to your phone
-	Adjust camera settings:
     • Video quality
     • Buzzer noise levels
     • Turn ON/OFF Adventure Mode, and adjust SD card’s Adventure Mode memory allocation
     • Turn ON/OFF Parking Surveillance Mode, and adjust sensitivity, wake-up modes and surveillance start delay functions
     • Live view feature
-	For your safety, the app will disconnect from the TOYOTA DASHCAM if vehicle movement is detected.  Do not operate your iPhone while vehicle is in motion.

Camera Features:

Your TOYOTA DASHCAM features 5 unique recording modes: 3 automatic modes and 2 manual modes activated using the “ACTION” button:
1)	Continuous recording – automatically records when vehicle ignition is on.  Never worry about turning on the camera to start recording.  When SD card is full, oldest files are automatically overwritten.  
2)	Automatic Incident recording – if an abnormal shock is detected when driving, camera automatically locks and protects the video file from overwriting for review at a later time.  Sensitivity can be adjusted.  Maximum of 10 event videos can be protected from overwriting.
3)	Parking surveillance – when vehicle is parked with vehicle ignition off, camera automatically wakes up and starts recording if an abnormal shock is detected.  Parking surveillance files are locked and protected from overwriting.  Sensitivity can be adjusted.  Maximum of 10 parking surveillance recordings can be protected from overwriting.
4)	Manual Flagged Event recording – capture interesting moments by pressing the “ACTION” button on the camera.  The current video segment(s) 12 seconds before and 8 seconds after button activation will be protected.  Maximum of 5 manual event recordings can be protected from overwriting. 
5)	Adventure Mode recording – capture your driving adventures. Press and hold the “ACTION” button on the camera for 1 second to start protecting the recorded videos.  The Adventure Mode recording will stop protecting files after maximum time is reached, or when the “ACTION” button is pressed and held again for 1 second.  Maximum of 1 hour of Adventure Mode videos can be protected from overwriting.

Had this camera installed by the dealer. It’s very difficult to use. More importantly, there’s no warning until it’s too late that you can damage the camera and the card if you remove it while the camera is plugged in! That’s nuts!!! I’ve only been able to pull one video off and text it to myself. Can’t seem to repeat the process. This dash cam viewer is a total train wreck, too. It has no links to open a saved video. There are no instructions of any sort. Even though there’s a link that says instructions, it only tells you “what” you can do. Not “HOW” you can do it. That’s not instructions, that annoyance.

This app has not been updated in 10-11 months. I should have opted for a non-Toyota dashcam. It keeps disconnecting from the iPhone when I attempt to download a video clip.

Doesn’t work - had to reset it and had two incidents that it didn’t capture.  So I can’t trust that it will work. So expensive for it to not work.  And Toyota is NOT helpful fixing it.  The app is impossible to use as it won’t store downloaded video.

This is by far the most frustrating/infuriating app ever put out there. This app is separate from the connection to your car so no matter how many times you try to connect to it the car keeps kicking you off your connection with the dash cam. And if you’re in proximity to any other connection that you might have it also kicks you off. So even if you disconnect an unpaired from absolutely everything you still can’t get into this dash cam app without being kicked off and told that something is wrong but no matter what you do it won’t connect, but then about the 50th time of doing the same repeated steps it might connect and then slowly, and I mean slowly, load a clip and then when you go to scroll to the next clip, it’ll kick you out and you’ll go through another 50 attempts of trying to reconnect.
