I replaced controller with a UFO controller and use SURPLIFE app. It will require some light rewiring but I have control of the lights and learning new app. App has better reviews then TPorig ever did. The function to select your country is broken. Meaning if you buy indoor or outdoor holiday lights from Shenzhen / or they are called also Topband that uses this app, you will not be able to do anything with your lights. Reading up on the company it seems like this was an initial interest for the company and then they diversified their investment and have dropped care for their apps that involve products they no longer produce. ### 1/5 — Horrible app *2024-11-10, version 1.2.5* Please fix the app. I was able to program my outside lights for two months then the app stopped working. When I open the app I shows my lights on the Bluetooth but won’t connect to them. My lights are useless now. It was working at first. I created the devices and was able yo control them. But suddenly, one of the 5 devices disappeared from the app. When I try to add the device, the app sees the device and connects to its Bluetooth, but then DOES NOT let me Name the device or add it to my device list. I have tried resetting the device, but that does not fix the problem. I think it may be a sync problem between the TP Orig account server and the app connection. Please fix this and please add more features to this app!! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Needs updating *2025-11-30, version 1.2.5* For some reason the app doesn’t work on my phone I’ve tried uninstalling and reinstalling the app works on my family members phone for their lights just not for my lights I try to sign in but it says 9 in a black box ### 1/5 — Requires you to VPN to use *2025-11-28, version 1.2.5* Like dozens of others I spent days trying to get this to work again. Turns out it’s just the login process they have blocked in the US (way to screw over their US customers). Simple solution: VPN to China, log in, and then cut the VPN.
