## What is Trace?

Some thoughts are easier to say than to type. Trace is a voice journal that lets you press record, talk, and move on. It turns your voice into text right on your iPhone, and now it reads back the patterns in your week with on-device AI. The words, the audio and the insights never leave your device.

Every week, Trace writes you a short, honest narrative about what was on your mind, generated by AI that runs on your iPhone itself. Nothing is uploaded, ever.

Trace does its heavier thinking overnight while your iPhone charges, so the app stays fast and recording is always instant.

WHY TRACE

Truly private by design. Recording, transcription and AI insights all happen on your iPhone. Trace never uploads your recordings, transcripts or insights anywhere. The only permission it asks for is the microphone.

Just talk. One tap to record, one tap to stop. Your thought is transcribed and saved in seconds.

Keep everything close. Browse and search every entry, play back the original audio, and fix a word in the transcript by hand whenever you like. Export all of your transcripts to a text file any time. Delete a single entry, or wipe everything, in a tap.

Make it yours. Pick from warm colour themes, choose light or dark, reorder or hide insight cards, and set one quiet daily reminder to check in. The reminder lives on your device too.

TRACE PLUS

The free plan gives you seven voice entries a week and the weekly narrative. Trace Plus removes the limit, unlocks the full set of AI insight cards, and adds sharper transcription, a second pass tuned for casual speech, accents, and recordings with more than one voice. Everything still stays on your device.

Plus is available monthly or yearly. You can cancel anytime in Settings.

Press record and just talk. There is no wrong way to begin.

SUBSCRIPTION

Trace Plus is an auto-renewable subscription, available monthly or yearly. Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless it is cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel anytime in your Apple ID settings.
