Sometimes same happens on horizontal lines also. While setting the lines, all seems ok in that screen, but shows UNaligned in the next page screen. A tracing app with a lock so my fingers don’t move the image every two seconds! NOPE. One finger is okay, but as soon as it senses two, your image slides around, you tap out of the screen, etc. how hard is it to make a true lock, where NOTHING will move the image until the lock is tapped again?? Honestly so aggravating… time to keep searching for another app or just use my laptop screen. So disappointed. Update- looking forward to the next app update! I will try again then. With a toggle to keep the old behavior in case anyone finds it useful But please just wait a little. They freeze the app and are seriously annoying. Please reconsider removing ads for those of us who paid for a premium. **Developer response:** Premium users shouldn' be seeing ads at all. You can have your composition problems solved in a bit. It’s versatile and easy to use. There was a new update to avoid any interactions with the grid while the "lock" feature is enabled, but moving to the enlarged section was never possible, even before the update. I hit grid and basicaly 2 lines went over the photo NOT a grid made of multiple lines horizontal and vertical which is what i want **Developer response:** Hi There’s video tutorials on how to set a grid in the settings screen (gear icon in the first screen after opening the app). ### 1/5 — Most unprofessional customer service ever experienced *2025-01-05* This company fraudulently charged my credit card after I tried using the app. When I contacted the company through FB after emailing them, the person was rude, unprofessional, flat out lied multiple times, was confrontational to the point that I had to ultimately block them. Then, they texted me to harass me further. DO NOT USE THIS APP! The creator vile. **Developer response:** I assume this user had its account hacked It treated me to "report me to authorities" for a supposed credit card charge that my app made, apparently asking for money in any form I informed the user that the app has all the transactions approved by Apple, and the highest price point of the app isn't even a third of the amount it demanded I offered the user to join a video call to clarify any issues, but it refused, still demanding money. User refused to send me any screenshots with proof of the so called credit card fraud, and refused to send me any screenshots of the app. Then the user started to send me extremely contradictory claims, claiming it signed up to the app (Tracing Buddy has no sign ups whatsoever), claiming the app was completely non-responsive so it couldn't send me any sort of screenshots, but still, user apparently was able to go to the setting screen and use the feedback button to send me an email demanding money The breaking point happened when I asked the user to describe what sort of app it was using, the description matched another app I have published, when I confronted it about it, it seemed to have realized the mistake and started describing the functionality of Tracing Buddy User sent me plenty of information about its identity, I sent one of the numbers attached the message "Hi. Did you recently contacted me via facebook with a problem concerning an app?" just to be able to clarify if the user was legit, got no response and it doesn't seems the user was even able to see it Maybe the user has a legitimate problem, but it didn't came from my app, and the way it was worded matches other scam mails that other indie developers have received Considering user claimed it downloaded the app from a "website recommending it" but refused to send me any links, and when confronted about what sort of app user downloaded it started to describe another app of mine, then I suspect it just has a lists of developer it harasses for money ### 1/5 — Sorry *2024-12-25, version 3.8* Sorry ### 1/5 — WHY is the lock feature SO BAD *2024-08-18* Finally!! The instructions to use it are almost non-existent, and when I tried to get help they sent me videos that were not based on the screens I had. I’ve had it on my phone for five minutes and i absolutely love it. If you’re looking for state-of-the-art, crazy modern, complex, super sophisticated, then it might not be for you. What I love about it is that it’s so well-designed — the concept is brilliant. I’ve been doing the grid technique, old-school, by hand, for four decades … And in one fell swoop this app has enabled me to skip all that and do it directly, digitally, right on the photo on my phone. Bravo!! ### 5/5 — Great app for watercolor *2024-01-31* This is an awesome app for pencil drawing for watercolor…and the price is awesome. I would actually pay a little more for the lifetime ($20?), but really appreciate that is affordable. My favorite feature is the ability to tap of a square and isolate it for drawing. THIS IS AWESOME and sets the app apart from all the rest. I think my mind tries to fill in if I’m looking at the whole picture. For a long time I didn’t understand how to get back to the whole grid, so I thing a back arrow would be helpful. I finally figured out you just swipe. I would like the ability to crop the photo inside the app so I don’t have to go into Photos and crop the original. That would be a great feature. I do think getting a photo into the program and starting a new drawing is more difficult than it could be. Look at how Sketchbook and Procreate handle this with a gallery (and all other drawing programs). Maybe use icons instead of the words and plus sign…they run together and it’s hard to tap the right one on a phone. Maybe add a quick tutorial on that for now? I just wiped out a previous drawing by importing a photo over it. That said, this is hands-down the best app out there. ### 5/5 — Restore account on new iPhone *2023-10-25* I lost my old iPhone, and just got a new one, so had to manually download all my old apps and subscriptions. I’m paid up for a year so I just am looking to sign in, but the only prompts I can find involve me buying again.
