It worked great up until a few weeks ago. There must be some limit to using the free features of this app, like the number of flights you can log. It will no longer log my flights, even though it says it was successfully logged. I can see my check in counter, gate and baggage claim info even before I arrive at the airport. Also got all my friends and family to download it so I can track their flights too! Love how their flights just pop up and I can see where they’re traveling to next! ### 2/5 — Premium Features, Missing Functions, and Frustrations with Support *2024-10-26* The recent updates have brought impressive features to this app, but many are locked behind a “premium” subscription priced at $50 a year. For me, a student with other subscription priorities, this price feels steep and is more expensive than most other flight trackers. The free version has also become quite limited, lacking essential functions like adding past flights, viewing yearly stats, and getting tail numbers. There are additional frustrations as well. Although the website mentions the ability to change the app icon, this option isn’t available in the app. Similarly, even though seat maps are advertised on the App Store, they are nowhere to be found in the app. Recently, they stopped replying to emails, adding to the frustration. There are glitches in widgets, issues with the friend search feature, and problems with the airport sign display. Furthermore, most Asian airlines don’t display airplane livery, and several low-cost airline logos—like Tigerair Taiwan, Peach Aviation, Philippines AirAsia, T’way Air, Jetstar Japan, and AirAsia X—are missing. Choosing the weekly option results in an error, so the only way is to pay €50 only for a data import? **Developer response:** Hi guhardton and thanks for your feedback. You are not being forced to purchase anything. We have built the flight data import for app in the air users optionally and since we also have to pay for historical flight data we are only able to offer this import for yearly paid subscribers. However we have set up a special offer for app in the air users with a discount on that yearly subscription. Wir fixen das sofort. ### 1/5 — Do not use! SCAM! *2024-09-28* Downloaded this app to import data from "App in the Air." I chose to start with a 7-day free trial for a weekly subscription. However, when trying to import data, it demands a yearly subscription disguised as a "3-day trial." BEWARE: accepting this "trial" will immediately charge you for a full year. The app’s advertised features require unclear, additional subscriptions. Pricing model is confusing and potentially predatory. Cannot recommend due to misleading marketing and subscription tactics. Users should be extremely cautious with this app. **Developer response:** Hi Sid, thanks for your critical review. What you have written is completely not true though, and we don't understand where this offence is coming from. Yes, we do offer a data import for App in the air users, and yes, we do require a yearly subscription for that. Since we also pay for the historical data and therefor cannot give it away for free. But neither will this trial be charged immediately, if you opt for the 7-day free trial, nor is anything true from what you have written about us. If you are unhappy with your subscription, please reach out to support@mileways.com and we will gladly refund you in full and immediately. There is no need to attack us in this kind of way where you spread misleading information about us. ### 1/5 — Canceling my subscription *2024-09-16* They took 70 dollars from my bank account and when I canceled my subscription they said we can’t refund your money but you can use our service, and it’s about 20 days that I purchased. **Developer response:** Dear Amir9828, why are you writing a review which is simply not true? This is not nice. We never received any refund request of yours, nor did we ever reply like that. Please reach out to support@mileways.com and we will gladly refund your purchased subscription immediately. We don't even offer a plan for 70 Dollars. Maybe you have mistakenly written your review for another app or service. ### 1/5 — Avoid! *2024-07-14* Disappointed as the app didn’t work. The plane I was tracking was significantly delayed the app was showing the plane had already departed and was showing that is nearly half way it’s planned route. When in real time the plane was actually still at the airport and waited for departure. I bought the app as needed live updates. The app provided incorrect information. I was then also charged for the whole year of subscription and when requested refund this was denied.The app is a scam and I’m worried that this company may not be genuine. I will avoid it at all costs. As for the live information on flights, it some times happen that we get the information with a little delay, but still we show and display flight info much fast than other airline apps. You are right, we offer a weekly and yearly plan, if you decide to purchase the yearly subscription, a yearly fee gets charged. We have never received a refund request from you. We are more than happy to refund you completely, since you were not happy with our services. Please note, that we do not cover all aircraft with original liveries yet, but we are working on it to reach a higher coverage very soon. We are constantly adding more liveries with every week. Our premium version offers many other valuable features, such as push notifications, elaborate flight details, extended statistics, weather and more. The newly release aircraft liveries, which will be available on more and more flights in the future, are just a tiny part of the premium version. Wie cool ist es, dass ich jederzeit nachsehen kann, wann ich wohin geflogen bin – das weckt viele Erinnerungen an tolle Reisen, die man sonst leicht vergisst. Die Übersicht ist gut gemacht und es macht Spaß, durch die eigene Flug-Historie zu stöbern. Für alle, die gerne fliegen und den Überblick behalten möchten, eine klare Empfehlung!! ### 5/5 — Bisher mein bester Flight tracker *2025-05-10* Ich hab wirklich schon einige ausprobiert aber Mileways ist bisher die einzige App, die mich konstant früher informiert als die Airline. Manchmal sogar noch vor dem Flughafen selbst. Besonders cool finde ich die Push-Benachrichtigung wenn der Flug zum Boarding bereit ist. Das hat mir schon ein paar Mal echt Stress erspart. However there are some hidden jems worth discovering. So my flight history. Sometimes I look it up and see when I was last time in HK and what year was extremely stressfull flying. Also the community feature is great as my family knows all about my travel intinary and when they can pick me up in time at the airport. Based in Munich we have an extra terminal K, L which you can only reach by airport train. It costs you extra 15-20 Min. so most of the times I get the gate through Mileways already the night before and can plan accordingly. Mileways imported my data from TripIt flawlessly, unlike other apps, and accurately reported recent flight delays while competitors showed “In Flight” on the tarmac. The city stamps feature and detailed Year in Review analytics are excellent additions. Plus, the Milepass feature is a fun way to share travels now that passports rarely get stamped. Highly recommend! ### 5/5 — Tolle Flug App *2024-12-28* Nachdem AppInTheAir eingestellt wurde, war ich auf der Suche nach einer neuen App um Flüge zu tracken und die persönlichen Statistiken anzuzeigen. Mileways bietet eine tolle einfache Oberfläche. Es können im Gegensatz zu anderen Flug Apps auch Flüge hinzugefügt werden, die nicht mehr online auffindbar sind. Dadurch kann man trotzdem die komplette Flughistorie hinterlegen.
