I do a lot of driving to and from the same locations, it would be nice if there was an auto fill feature that could be turned on and off. Sometimes, when I utilize the gps mileage tracking option, it won't track the entire trip. I've noticed the reason for this is, if the phones screen shuts off the tracking does too. Overall it's not bad, but I usually just enter the mileage manually. I do like the ability to look back over entire years month by month, especially at tax season, to sort out my various deductions, so that's a nice feature. I don't regret purchasing it and would recommend it to others, with the understanding that it does have limitations. ### 3/5 — So far so good *2023-03-13, version 12.1* I had milebug for years but updating my iphone killed my app so looking for an app I can add manually and have start-arrival with mileage entry. Response to developer: I have all those settings. My frustration is having to type in all the numbers of the END mileage of each trip. The beginning mileage is saved, but the end mileage is always blank. If I drive 3 miles up to the store and back, it was easier to open the “end” mileage of a trip and add the miles I drove by scrolling the numbers rather than now typing in the odometer setting on a blank screen. If I forget to do it while I’m the vehicle, then I have to go back out to look at the odometer since my odometer reading is in the 6 figures. The way it was previously, when ending a trip the end mileage was populated with the trip start mileage until the user changed it. Now it’s just a blank field. Original review: Last update was a major overhaul. Some of the feature changes I’m not liking very much. I was so used to the other format, it’s like learning the app all over again. The biggest change I dislike is the way the odometer works. Every time I end a trip, I have to type in the entire mileage. I personally prefer the former method of the mileage already being the same as the start mileage and using the scrolls to input the end mileage of the trip. That worked really well if I forgot to put my end mileage because I usually could remember how far I drove. The "rolling odometer" number entry is very convenient. Running summary is good, too. I am changing my review to one star because there’s no way to enter negative stars. Latest Update is TOTAL GARBAGE! “Classic Email” of Excel data to my email for transfer to my own tax spreadsheets acts like it is working but SENDS NOTHING. Not only that but it takes endless taps to display each entry so I can type it into Excel by hand. The edit function seems completely gone. If I somehow can rescue my current data, I will delete this mess. I NEVER WANT TO SEE IT AGAIN. I would go back to a little paper log book before I would use TMM again. However, to activate it, you have to give them a credit card number to which all kinds of things can be charged. ### 1/5 — Buyer beware. Everything is an add on for money *2025-03-04, version 12.3* You need to enter a credit card number supposedly for verification. It says your card will not be charged, but mine was attempted to be charged $39.95 for some bogus music add on. I unchecked the button and hit continue and then I received a fraud alert from my bank and had to cancel my card. Once I figured out it was a sneaky ad with 0 point font, I didn’t touch anything at the bottom of the screen again. The features and explanations looked good so I thought I would give this app a try but when I went to record a drive, the app wanted money to do just about everything- reporting, arrival and destination times, etc. what a hassle- I finally deleted it. ### 1/5 — FAKE ACCOUNT DO NOT INSTALL *2023-03-07, version 12.1* FRAUDLENT ### 1/5 — More fees than taxes at the gas pump *2022-06-22, version 12.0* Took me all of 3 minutes to see that most critical tracking fields/parameters were only available with a purchase. I thought everything meant there were no more purchases to buy. Not happy at all. 1 star rating ### 1/5 — App *2020-01-10, version 10.0.6* I completely disappointed in the app. It froze up today and needed to transfer 2019 and lost it all. Should have included a tutorial with this update. Wish I could go back to the previous format. ### 1/5 — Start mileage auto populates *2019-04-08, version 10.0.4* Start Mileage — All of a sudden the app auto populates the start mileage with 180495 — EVERY SINGLE TIME!! The only way around this (that I can figure out) is to delete this and then enter my starting mileage. My ending mileage is in the 130,000’s so suddenly I have a number of trips with null distance since you can’t end with lower miles than you started with. There used to be a rolling odometer that you could with one hand (or thumb) change your mileage. Now the app forces me to type the end mileage entirely instead of just scrolling up or down the one, ten, hundred thousand, etc separately. What a mistake. Recently started running a bit slow/laggy. Reached out to customer service and they said “wow! Over 6k entries! That’s the most I’ve ever seen—try deleting some older entries and see how it goes.” Did so and back to normal. Great app and service. ### 5/5 — Great App *2022-09-02, version 12.0* This is a great little app. Switched to this when my old mileage app was archived and I had to upgrade my phone. The hardest task is knowing the add ons to purchase. Could I ask one little favour though. When you have to enter mileage finish, could it be programmed that you could either enter the end mileage, or you enter the actual miles driven, and the app calculates your end mileage for you. At the moment if you enter the number of miles directly, the start miles clear themselves. My old app did the calculations from your start miles and I found it really useful especially on frequent journeys that you know the mileage for. Also their service is a 5 outta 5. I had an issue with a bug where the mileage wouldn’t allow me to see it to change the actual miles I drove. I emailed the help desk and they got back to me hours later and fixed it by the next day! All of a sudden, my data was lost and my entries were empty. I contacted support and they initially responded and told me that I must have updated or reset my phone. I did not and I responded as such. That was the end of their support. I have twice emailed for help and no answer.
