It was easier to follow the trail with a flashlight. The app kept picking up on slightly red coloring on the brown leaves in the area. Then, the “mark spot” didn’t mark anywhere near my location on the map. I’m am currently trying to get a refund on my purchase, but it is proving difficult to get a refund or even to send an email to whomever I need to for a refund. Although I haven’t needed the blood tracker to retrieve my deer, I used it anyway to see how it worked and it absolutely picks up the blood trail! As with anything, it’s best to pick the spot you last saw the animal as bright leaves also glow some if you’re not on the blood trail. Shot a doe with the rifle in December. Watched her run into the woods and knew she wouldn’t last long. Found blood in the cut beans and lost it at a ditch crossing. Turned on the track and trail app to find which direction she ran. It picked up on something I was like that’s not blood. Shined the light on the grass and it was the slightest speck of blood.
