My G data is shifted and wrongly scaled, the screen keeps turning off between autocross runs, connection to my XGPS160 is inconsistent, etc. ### 2/5 — Deleted Lap Files During IOS transfer *2026-05-27, version 5.0.4* Recently downloaded this app after hearing about all of the data it logs as well as being able to overlay telemetry onto videos. When trying to follow along with a guide to transfer data from the app to my Mac (IOS) over WiFi, it wouldn’t send to my computer but gave me the option to send to my phone, as the app recognized my computer and phone as places it could send the data. Well without having any idea that anything would occur, I tried to offload to data to my phone, but as soon as I clicked my phone as an option, the app crashed and when I went back into the app to try again, that entire sessions data file was gone. Just like that my PB session was erased and I’ve tried everything to recover the files to no success. The app is cool and looking at the data is fun, but that little bug cost me all the data for my best laps out, so if that could be taken care of or made simpler to transfer data to devices, the app would be near perfect for the price, but as it is currently, it’s pretty easy to lose your data files only to never be recovered. So if you’re reading this, my advice is to offload the data by plugging your phone into the computer and transferring all of the data files to the computer, don’t try to do the WiFi route, you may lose all your data that way. Will continue to use that app now knowing how to transfer things over via wired connection, but still, a fix for that or to be able to recover lost data would be nice. ### 2/5 — long time user frustrated *2026-04-27, version 5.0.3* Your recent updates have deleted all the notes i made for years worth of track sessions, also the g force via 10hz gps is no longer working!!! ### 2/5 — Не обновляйтесь *2026-02-15* Версия 5 очень неудачная. They intended use cases motorcycle track day or racing. I set pitch as one of the three data items. With the iphone mounted vertically, pitch displays correctly until you get to about 50°, which is right at the limit of where race lean angle can go. Once you lean more than 50 degrees, the app flips orientation from vertical to horizontal. That’s VERY distracting during a race there doesn’t seem to be a way to lock the orientation of the app. If you want to use the iPhone mounted horizontally, the initial displayed pitch angle is completely wrong. There’s no way to “zero” displayed pitch when the phone is mounted horizontally. Next, with the iphone in vertical orientation, no matter what resolution, my video is rotated 90°. Video is only displayed in the correct orientation when the phone is mounted horizontally. These inconsistencies make the app pretty much unusable for motorcycle racing in its present state. ### 3/5 — ストリーミング機能復活希望！ *2024-01-25* 国際コースでのピット配信に活用させてもらっていた ストリーミング機能が 出来なくなりました。 IDを再度登録しようとしても受け付けず、 登録するためのwebサイトにも行けずで困っています。 ちなみに、使用しているスマートフォンは 全てiPhoneで 現在iPhoneSE2、7、SE、5sの4台で使用中。（内、稼働可能SIMの関係上、5s以外の3台で、モバイル回線でのストリーミング活用していました。） iOSが15や14での運用が問題なのかもしれませんが、 少し前までは問題なくストリーミング使用できていました。 iOSを最新にアップデートすれば ストリーミング使用復旧するものなのか、 教えていただけると幸いです。 とても便利に活用していた機能なので、 宜しく頼みます。 ### 4/5 — Track Addict app *2023-07-19, version 4.8.2* Awesome app, friendly, intuitive and powerful ### 5/5 — Easy to use and super helpful *2023-05-16, version 4.8.2* An absolutely great app for anyone who does track days or Motorsport events. Has a huge selection of tracks pre-programmed in, as well as features like auto-start recording when the car moves. Makes it super easy to set up and use, and gives you a brilliant recording to see what you need to improve on. If you’re not sure if it would be useful, get the free version and try it (difference is it only keeps 3 recordings), then come back here and buy the pro version, cos it’s worth it! ### 5/5 — Brilliant App *2023-04-05, version 4.8.2* Really user friendly when you have a lot going on at a track day. When it does, not the entire run. V5.0.5 IOS 16.7.16 Setup menus changed and is less intuitive. Makes app useless. I have 4.8.2 on an IOS 12.5.8 iPhone and the app Works flawless. Guess I’ll have to replace its battery instead of upgrading. Update: I did some research and sifted through the developers forum for answers. Atleast one other user has had this issue with no resolution. The no video issue seems to come from bypassing the camera setup, which you are allowed to do. But bypassing it kills video recording, which it’s not supposed to do. The recorded video time doesn’t seem to have a solution. It data records the entire 48second run, but only video records 10seconds or so. The developer needs to find out what went wrong between 4.8.2 and 5.05. ### 1/5 — Used to be great, unreliable and reduced functionality now *2026-07-14, version 5.0.4* The app updated some time between the end of the 2025 track day season and the beginning of 2026. Neither of my OBD2 adapters, one WiFi, one BLE, work any more. When I tap ELM WiFi in the menu, it switches to disabled in settings. And as of today, the app lets my iPhone go to sleep after I told the app to start recording a session. I lost all of the video and data because the phone was asleep. This app is effectively unusable and I’ll be shopping for a replacement. The only thing I regret is having to manually export all my lap times for the last 6 years. ### 1/5 — Now Garbage *2026-05-26, version 5.0.4* I've used TA for 4 years with an ext GPS, BT OBD and Hero 6, always worked incredibly. Now nothing works, I just tried to xfer my PB time for VIR, it crashed and now the session is GONE. Since December, it will start my go pro but not stop it, it cant find my OBD in less than 3-4 mins, and everytime i leave it active on screen, in range of my OBD adapter, my car battery drains. Also doesn’t appear to connect to my Dual XGPS160. Web-based support info seems to be lacking/out-of-date. Went to the track today and it wouldn’t run for more than a couple of seconds. After downloading another app to do my timing I got back to the hotel and tried to take a look at this. I found an update available in the app store and did the update however it still doesn’t work very well although it doesn’t crash after two seconds. Getting the camera to work is awkward and tap to cancel On The recording screen doesn’t work. I have to shutdown the app to get out of that screen while testing it. In the OBD two dongle I’ve been using with it forever now doesn’t seem to be something that you can select or set up. I don’t understand why the developers took a perfectly functional app and screwed it up. ### 1/5 — Bad app *2025-10-01, version 4.8.2* Software doesn’t work. I would highly recommend. Being able to map the track layout via GPS greatly helped my ability to memorize the turns via the Birds Eye view of the course. Additionally, being able to record every run and see where I messed up and where to improve helped tremendously. The kicker I wasn’t expecting is that this app also natively supports WiFi OBDII scanners, even ones that aren’t made by HP Tuners. I was so happy to discover I could plot OBDII data along with my track runs, and see some details about intake temps, coolant temps, RPM (no working tach lol). The data logging aspect is huge in its own right and I wasn’t expecting this feature. This may be due to my GPS reception. For the money, this app provides a great tool for analyzing sector times and gives options for various screen layouts when downloading videos.
