## What is TrackCoach Athletics?

TrackCoach Athletics is a focused set of training tools for track & field coaches and athletes.

• Starter Pistol — A reliable, low-latency starter for sprint practice. The classic "On your marks... Set... BANG!" sequence is timed precisely so athletes can rehearse race starts without needing a real pistol. Configurable delay and reaction offset. (iPhone/iPad only — the feature uses motion sensors to detect block exit.)

• 400m Hurdle Calculator — Plan stride patterns and split targets for the 400m hurdles given a target time and athlete gender. Generates a full hurdle-by-hurdle table.

• Sprint Calculator — Predict 100m / 200m / 400m times from a single test rep (e.g. a 30m flying + 200m from blocks). Useful for race-pace planning and load management.

• Wind & Altitude Calculator — Estimate the effect of wind and altitude on 100m / 200m / long jump / triple jump performances, using a physics-based model. Check whether a mark is wind-legal under World Athletics rules.

• Scoring Tables (WA 2025) — Score any performance against the latest World Athletics scoring catalog. Pick an event, enter a time or distance, get back the WA points. Works in reverse too: enter a target score and see the equivalent performance for every event in the catalog — useful for combined-event scoring, equivalency comparisons, and goal-setting.

New Settings page with a theme picker — choose from several built-in palettes, plus light, dark, or system mode. Themes apply live, no restart needed.

New: Scoring Tables — score performances against the latest World Athletics (2025) catalog. Pick an event, type a time or distance, get back the WA points. Works in reverse too: enter a target score and see the required performance across every event in the catalog.

Pro Starter now routes through Bluetooth audio when a paired device is connected, so the start tone reaches the athlete on the blocks via your speaker or earbuds.

Plus the math fixes from 1.2: Sprint Calculator (ASR) gives physically realistic long-distance predictions, and Pro Starter timing is tightened to the World Athletics 1.8–2.5 s gun window with reactions under 100 ms flagged as false starts.

    • Wind & Altitude: enter wind speed and venue altitude to estimate the effect on 100m / 200m / long jump / triple
  jump performances, and check whether a mark is wind-legal under World Athletics rules.

    • Sprint Calculator: corrected the extrapolation math so long-distance predictions (300m, 400m) are now physically
  realistic.                                                                                                            
    • Pro Starter: gun timing tightened to the 1.8–2.5s World Athletics window, and reactions under 100ms are flagged as
   false starts.
