This new version of the app however doesn’t have the same ease, with the saving method now being the Virtual Vinyl - the audio on the Vinyls often breaks up and even has sections missing. Downloaded and played aroubd but got lost and interest faded because of the way it is designed. Steongly advise the team to do user testing and redesign the various flows, it is a really perplexing navigation om simple things like listening to a track and producing a track. The interface is intuitive and targeted at musicians - who aren’t always tech heads. The support is literally friendly and responsive. Because you feel comfortable it’s easier to create music - because the app is not intimidating. Thank you Trackd 💜 ### 5/5 — Amazing innovation *2021-06-17, version 3.0.20* In a world where interaction between fan and artist is evolving, Trackd, the social music platform bridges the gap between artist and listener so perfectly. The app is growing, in such an exciting way. This kind of innovation has seen the birth of apps like Soundcloud, Spotify, Instagram, and all the rest. It's a matter of time before trackd is the leader in that conversation with the features like chipin+ making music more fair for the people at the heart of it. A built in 8 track studio, the ability to remix the very same songs you fall in love with, and to emerge yourself in a vibrant, growing community this app has it all. If I could give 10 stars I would! ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Portal Has been lost *2025-05-30, version 3.5* This used to be my go-to app for demos and such with wired headphones + iPhone mic. It now crashes and has more issues that I can go into with a character limit lol. Please give me my money back “Your account has been suspended and the customer portal will not be accessible. Please contact your account administrator.”” ??? ### 1/5 — If I ain’t broke, DON’T FIX *2021-12-01, version 3.0.24* Why was this app even updated to what it was? To be more social and money-making? Okay, sure, I can get behind that but at what costs? For a glitchy, barely working, unreliable, buggy app? Fix your app, it’s like it wasn’t even ready to be launched, let’s go down the lists. Unlike the original Trackd: The Line-Input option, when off, doesn’t pick up audio from the phone’s mic, but instead, the headphone mic STILL. This is an issue because I get too completely different sounds out of the two and I need that flexibility to get the EXACT sound I want from my recordings. Next, the click track doesn’t even play while recording so there’s literally no point in having it on. Plus, Count In just stays at 4 then records shortly after without display “3, 2, 1”… so I can’t start off my song with the first beat? This app is a joke and a slap in the face from the original… I can’t believe you. This was the only app that was my go-to for recording and uploading music to YouTube. I guess I will have to switch to BandLab or continue using the original. Ge… £19.49 Make sure you read the in app perches & collection of personal information! I used the old app £1.99 for extra 4 tracks that was it in, in app perches. No warning they were going to close down the old app, and introduce these charges! Ironically Trackd wants ( you ) to financially support other artists! Funny how the tables have turned on the consumer. The word ( Free ) was changed to ( Get ) on the App Store. Now everything is expensive! ### 1/5 — used to love it :( *2021-04-11, version 3.0.17* This app used to be great for recording simple songs with, but now it runs so slow, crashes, constantly logs me out, and is overall worse than it used to be. As someone who can’t afford other recording methods right now this is really sad, I wish i could say i love the new app but unfortunately that is not the case. ### 1/5 — Keeps crashing *2021-01-16* So I just found out the old app was shutting down so I attempted to login using the new app but it keeps saying “error or contact support” I decided to make a new account but now I can’t open the app for at least 1 second before it crashes and logs me out Please fix this please! **Developer response:** Hi. Shame ### 2/5 — Unfulfilled Potential *2023-08-23, version 3.5* I really wanted to love this app. Full disclosure: I’ve been recording demos on Trackd since 2017. Unfortunately, since forcing all its users from Trackd to Trackd Studio, this project has clearly gone quite rapidly downhill. Strange UI design decisions, bugs galore, clearly no dedicated support team to address issues — not to mention random forced logouts and occasional data loss.
