## What is TrackDyno?

TrackDyno is a breakthrough app for automotive enthusiasts! Your mobile device can now act as a dynamometer, performance timer, and lap timer, as well as GPS speedometer. Horsepower and torque can be calculated using nothing but your phone's built in sensors! It's the only performance app you'll ever need! No cables, no clunky box mounted in your car. Nothing to plug in, nothing extra to buy.

TrackDyno now offers support for most popular OBD-II over BLE devices. This allows TrackDyno to see speed, RPM throttle position, and verify gear ratio. As a result, using OBD-II over BLE will unlock greater accuracy during dyno runs (can now verify RPM and speed data, as well as auto-start and auto-stop dyno runs), and telemetry during lap sessions, as well as live replay with sector overviews!

New features, support, updates always rolling out as they are developed.

## Key features

- Estimate HP & TQ ratings
- Calculate acceleration times (0-60, 0-100)
- GPS guided lap timer
- Uses phone's built-in sensors
- No extra hardware required

### 1/5 — Junk

*2026-10-14*

Absolutely zero real time or anywhere near close data. I have now made 18 poles and every one of them has been different. Nothing near realistic I have tried every single option available and setting tells me my car has 1100 foot pounds of torque with 40 hp probably the biggest waste of my money I’ve ever spent.

**Developer response:** In the settings you shared, the gear fields already include the 4.10 final drive: 13.77, 8.18, 5.47, 4.11 and 2.79. The app multiplies each gear by the final drive you enter, so it treats 1st gear as about 56:1 instead of about 13.7:1, and that throws off the torque figures. The gear fields need the transmission’s own ratios so the final drive is applied only once.

For a 1994 Mustang GT with the T-5, enter 3.35, 1.99, 1.33, 1.00 and 0.68, with 4.10 as the final drive.

### 5/5 — This is a game changer

This is the only app I’ve even found that can actually calculate your cars horsepower and not need other hardware, pretty cool! Seems to be pretty accurate and stable. Overall I’m very happy with it!
