Although it’s unarguably a good fun idea, with a nice interface to go with it, it does fall short of its potential. It’s main purpose being to track and update online prices of vintage collectibles offering an accurate guide to current market value. Problem is it doesn’t seem to do that that accurately — many many items sold on eBay over the past 6months have failed make it on to the app’s database for some reason. Furthermore, 80% to 100% price bands don’t always offer an accurate reflection of current market value either; many graded examples fail to be uploaded, and many ungraded examples could simply be any old condition if sold though eBay as images and other details are removed after a short space of time — only top line detail remains on the site/app. If a collector decides to use the tracker to gauge a value for his or her collection in order to sell they could very well end up losing out unknowingly. After doing some searching, video watching, etc. I heard about this site/app. What a genius concept, but with major flaws. For example, a subscription, really? For what? To track my inventory and a “price guide”? Ok, the prices for the subscription are a bit high but I decided to do the annual. Then it hits me with problem number 2, PayPal only. PayPal is a god awful service I will never use again. Here’s an idea, accept credit cards!! It’s 2023, how do you not accept credit card payments?? Totally worth it to pay the annual fee as I catalog all my MOCs, loose/complete, and ships/playsets in the app. They do a nice job of aggregating eBay and other marketplace data to give you a valuation too! You can create a portfolio of your items and check the valuation of it based on the condition of your item that you set and the current market value. Before making any purchase I use this tracker to determine a rough average starting point to negotiate from or to set my own selling point. Some of the photos from eBay sources has stopped working but this may have more to do with eBay than the app. Developers should look into that to see where the glitch is.
