The TractorPlus app from John Deere includes exciting improvements whether you own a 1025R or 9620RX tractor. Quickly identify your equipment using the built-in barcode scanner and unlock a wealth of information and tools that help you use and maintain your equipment more efficiently. View detailed upcoming maintenance recommendations with quick access to instructions from your Operator's Manual or links to relevant tutorial videos. Get fluid capacities and parts information with options to easily purchase via an online shopping cart. Track your engine hours, record your maintenance history, and quickly link to parts diagrams when you need to identify a repair part. For Compact Utility Tractor customers there is also a new option to record and visualize work using your phone's built-in GPS and additional information when looking up diagnostic trouble codes. The newly released TractorPlus Smart Connector kit extends the functionality of TractorPlus by enabling real time monitoring of your vehicle. Now you can conveniently see a list of trouble codes present on a machine and the app automatically records key information like engine hours and fuel level in case you need to know them when you're away from the vehicle. Add a phone mount to your tractor and use the Live Dashboard feature to monitor additional vehicle parameters in real time. The TractorPlus Smart Connector also enables detailed new summaries of vehicle usage when you use the Track Now feature. I downloaded this app and it wouldn’t even let me type in any information from my iPad. It wouldn’t let me access any of the information, diagrams would start to open and then lock up…

I was excited to have this app and Smart Connector on my new 2022 3025e. The results have been total disappointment at the lack of connectivity to my iPhone XR. The dealer has had this back twice replacing the connector and it still will not recognize my machine either automatically or after adding it manually.

This app doesn’t work, you cannot add your equipment manually. The app shows you how to add the equipment but the add options do not work. You cannot manually add the SN/MDL number and you cannot scan it with your phone. I just expected more from John Deere.

Borderline useless app if you are looking for information on trouble codes. “Contact Dealer” is the explanation of every code I look up. Yeah no shoot Sherlock!

### 3/5 — Live Dashboard Lacks Regen

I really like this app, but I wished it allowed a user to see if their tractor is in the middle of a regen cycle. My tractor’s auto regen does not increase RPM’s high enough for a successful regen cycle, so I must kick them up. I often go inside the house and wait until the regen cycle is over. It would be nice if the app’s live dashboard showed whether it was in regen or not. Since I have to manually increase my RPM’s, monitoring those alone doesn’t tell me anything.

Had some difficulty because originally the app wasn’t recognizing my tractor’s PIN. Apparently there were some changes in PIN format for some MY21 and MY22 tractors. Eventually they figured out what the problem was an were able to get the app updated. 

This app greatly expands the diagnostic and running information available to users as well as allows for tracking maintenance, provides step by step instructions, and even allows you to track your work history. 

This is an excellent tool especially if you buy the Smart Connector.

The app is useful but the dashboard could be much better.

1.  Dashboard should be able to fit the screen size.  Looks like a phone app on my tablet.  It should size accordingly as it would fit more on the screen.

2.  Get rid of some of the useless PIDs on the dashboard and add some that are more useful.  Fuel temp, fuel level, seat switch, and PTO engagement are ones I’d like replaced as the are not telling the operator anything important that isn’t already displayed elsewhere.

3.  Add PIDs for, EGT, DPF temp, boost pressure, and voltage.  These are more useful for operators than redundant or non necessary PIDs listed above.
