I reckon all the 5 star ratings with no reviews are fake. This app is terrible and I can’t figure out how to track someone - so unintuitive. ### 1/5 — It doesn’t work *2022-04-10* Trying to track people doing Brighton marathon but it keeps pinging me to the triathlon on the map. When I do get marathon it tells me to download Apple Connect which tells me I need a developer account. Should be removed from App Store until you have a UX designer map out customer journeys and then some serious user testing. The app doesn’t even open, and the mobile version doesn’t show any athletes progress. As an integral part of a marathon, your service SHOULD WORK. Incredibly disappointing not being able to see family and friends on their big day. We ran a relay race and TRACx showed our current team members running over an hour ahead of where they actually were on the course. This was worse than useless as it left us uncertain when a runner would reach a relay exchange or if perhaps they had already passed the exchange and we missed a handoff. ### 1/5 — Does not track. All set to track my son at a half marathon which I couldn’t attend and it failed to track any runner. Said runner had not started yet. What a total disappointment. Don’t waste your time and hopefully race organizers will select a different tracking app next year. ### 1/5 — Seattle Marathon fail *2022-11-30* Big-time fail. My son’s first half marathon and we were thrilled we’d be able to track him on the course. The app never worked. It just sat there and did nothing. In Seattle of all places, a huge metro area with plenty of bandwidth. We were able to find his name on the app prior to the race, but once the runners took off, nothing. No tracking capability. We asked people around us, all said it didn’t work for them either. Definitely disappointed. ### 1/5 — Seattle Half Marathon Fail *2022-11-26* The only tracking that functioned was BEFORE THE RACE BEGAN. Once the race started, nothing worked. Nothing worked here in Seattle. Nothing worked remotely in other places for family members trying to track. Nobody I talked to could get it to work for any participant. ### 1/5 — Lousy program! *2022-11-26* It’s impossible to use. Did not work at all. Total waste of time trying to find participants and get update during the race. If I ran the Seattle Marathon, I’d fire this company and find another for next time. ### 1/5 — Didn’t work during Seattle Marathon (“too much traffic” - really?) *2022-11-26* Silly app if it can’t scale to handle even the Seattle marathon - leaving thousands of followers unable to track or know when to pick up runners. Also, for people who just want to keep up with the status of their runners, can we not just provide a simple link that is easy to share via SMS and doesn’t require app installs (this was available in prior years and worked well - unlike this app). ### 1/5 — Not good *2022-11-26* Cannot track other runners. It was very cool being able to see her making progress in live time and knowing she was ok.She was like a machine ticking down the miles. Exciting watching her cross the finish line!! Apple iPhone location sharing is much better.
