TradeCraft already tracked retention contract by contract. Now the dashboard totals it across every job: what is still held, and - the part that decides whether you ever see it - what has fallen due and can be asked for today, oldest first, with how long it has been owed. Retention is money you have already earned and someone else is holding. It gets written off because nothing counts it. Now something does. Also in this release - Retention totals stay separate per currency, so nothing is quietly blended - A tranche due today counts as due, not tomorrow ### 1.0.7 — 2026-08-11 Retention, tracked until it is back in your account. If you work for main contractors, 3-5% of every payment is withheld and most of it is never chased. TradeCraft now records the retention withheld on each stage payment, keeps a running total for the job, and schedules the release as two dated tranches: half at practical completion, half at the end of the defects liability period. When the second one falls due it is on a list, not forgotten. STAGED INVOICING Invoice a contract in stages, by percentage or fixed amount. Every invoice shows its stage number, what has been invoiced against the contract value, and what is left. Raising the contract value goes through a recorded variation with a reason, a name and a date, never a silent edit. GET PAID BY CARD, STILL WITH NO ACCOUNT Attach a payment link to an invoice and your customer can pay by card. It uses your own Stripe restricted key, the request goes straight from your phone to Stripe, and the money arrives in your Stripe account. TradeCraft never touches it, and there is still no TradeCraft account to create. SERVICE REMINDERS THAT WRITE THEMSELVES Issue a CP12 and the next check date becomes a reminder automatically. Twelve months later it is work you can quote for, instead of work that went to whoever rang first. Still works with no signal. ### 1.0.6 — 2026-08-10 A big update for quoting and invoicing. • Price book — save your regular items and prices, then drop them into any quote or invoice • Discounts and reusable payment terms on quotes and invoices • Duplicate any quote or invoice to reuse it as a starting point • Customer statements and payment receipts • Add and reorder photos on quotes and invoices, with captions, straight from the camera, your library, or job evidence • Preview the finished PDF before you send it • Your own logo on every quote and invoice • Clearer document layouts — totals, addresses and long descriptions no longer collide The free tier is now more generous: unlimited clients, jobs, quotes and drafts, plus five issued invoices a month. ### 1.0.5 — 2026-08-01 Accurate CIS on every invoice.
