Yes you install and need to subscribe before the app opens. They say the charts are pulled from the S&P500 but I highly doubt it. The price movement on these “stocks” are unrealistically from the US. You’ll get frustrated with this app the moment you see that it doesn’t show what you have learned from books and watching stocks price action in real time. If you think you’re good at trading because of this app, YOU WILL LOSE ALL YOUR MONEY in the stock market in real life trading. The developer needs to fix that problem if this app is for educational purposes, otherwise it is just for fun. THIS APP DOES NOT TEACH YOU TO TRADE BETTER. With that said, it will only confuse you and make you doubt of what really works. I’m going to try Stock Trainer instead and how it is but the best way to learn is watching the real time price action, not the moronic movements in these stocks (I don’t think all of them are stocks). ### 2/5 — Miss on a good idea *2024-07-21, version 61* I’ll reiterate what others have said. The idea is really solid, on historical stocks price movements. you can try out some basic technical analysis ideas for swinging trading, but this just doesn’t prepare you for actual training because it’s too basic. You can’t set specific stop loss orders so you’re just gauging the price off of the closing price each day. Wish there were something like this with just a little more detail and intro day movements. ### 3/5 — Handy and helpful but missing something *2024-07-12, version 61* The something missing is the reality of buy or sell at the open of the next candle. The way this is set up is buy or sell in after hours. Realistic in one way. I saw what I thought was a buy signal and it was the top for about 1000 taps of the next button until I pitched my phone across the room. I recently opened it again to share with a family member and there’s now a subscription model, I can’t restore my initial purchase and they want to charge. $10 a month for something I already had and used. Don’t let them take your money just to force you to buy something else again. The review displayed an apparent and clear lack of understanding about markets and trading from this individual who wanted to know the “names” of these “stocks.” They are misguided. Thinking more information, such as the name of the stock, will help them. If they’re going down that road they’re completely lost and at serious risk of ruin. This game is a lot of fun. You don’t need to know the names of these securities to benefit from the tape reading exercise this game is. But in comparison, this one excels compared to a lot of the other ones because it is so direct and specific with its intent - without holding you back using unnecessarily locked features, lengthy startups, etc. The “not liked as much” list are a necessary part of this type of model for app development, unfortunately. To their credit, the ads are short and can be skipped, and this subscription is more than fair compared to competition. Feedback/ suggestions/ please implement: A slider for the percentage to buy yourself would be real nice instead of chunked percentages by 25% increments. I would like to see portfolio and positions data laid out across the top so that there is more space for the chart to fill in… I would like onetime subscription fee, but I am considering the yearly ( right now only 10 for the year to remove ads). This app is definitely the best that I have personally come across and all my years of scouting and using Trainer apps and simulation apps. I have been recommending this app to all my students and even my close, friends and family who want to get started in trading. You could use trend lines you watch the candles it comes out like it’s real. There’s no skipping to the future and coming back so there’s no cheating. if you don’t know what you’re doing you definitely gonna lose your shirt but you could always restart but it’s good to be discipline and practice realistic moves because it will prepare for the future at a pace of your desire because you don’t need the market to be open. ### 5/5 — Learning to trade, fun and free. *2023-12-27, version 48* This is great for finding out about your own risk tolerance. If you look on the App Store the “preview” window shows the old view which has much better contrast and is easy on the eyes.
