It doesn’t take too many button clicks to do what I want to do. Which is even better since it crashes suddenly and often. Please fix this!!!!! **Developer response:** We are sorry to hear you are having an issue. Please re-download the app; that should address the issue. ### 3/5 — Buggy App, Limited Cash Accounts... but a working API. *2023-09-29* So many issues and annoyances with using Tradier as a brokerage. Cons: - Bugs. You will experience a lot of bugs on the mobile app making trading difficult and managing your money transfers annoying. - Cash Account amount restrictions. You are restricted to a small number of Cash Accounts you can open with them. If you’re someone like me that likes having multiple cash accounts for different purposes, this may not be the best brokerage option for you. They limited me to 3 cash accounts. - Fee for IRA. There’s a hefty $30/annual fee for if you want to open an IRA with them. Remember, other brokerages offer this for completely free. - Does not offer instant buying power, unlike other similar brokerages. You have to wait several business days between getting your account opened, bank approved, DEPOSIT APPROVED, wait for deposit to settle, etc. It’s tedious. Everything requires manual approval. Pros: - Free trading API. Tradier is one of the few brokerages that allows you to trade securities using an API. As a developer, I appreciate the API as it makes trading on the fly really easy. This is the only reason I put up with this brokerage, I would have abandoned it a long time ago if it wasn’t for their free trading API. - I couldn’t think of any other pro. Dark mode... I guess. For all their cons, they definitely aren’t the *worst* brokerage you can choose— but they’re far, far from the best. There are better options that do not limit your cash accounts or charge a fee for an IRA. ### 3/5 — App abruptly shuts down *2022-08-22, version 5.0.0* So annoying! It happens sometimes and has been going on for years, mostly when I’m trying to load an options chain. Can you also bring back the swipe feature between 2 accounts that was available in last year’s version? It really sped up the process of switching. Needs a real brokerage set up. No TOD= transfer on death to a contingent and no DRIP PROGRAM = Dividend Reinvestment. Almost like ROBINCROOK. Once they adapt to real brokerages like E*TRADE or TD AMERITRADE, THEY WILL BE A FORCE TO RECKON WITH. Some screens are dark mode, some are white mode. Delta is not displayed in the option chains. When entering an order for a option contract, the default quantity is 1. Difficult to get the cursor in the right place to replace 1 with a 5, for example. **Developer response:** Hi, thanks for the feedback. If you would like to change the default number of contracts this can be done under the "Menu" section of the app. Thanks for your feedback and being a Tradier Brokerage app user. ### 1/5 — MUST HAVE ACCOUNT *2019-01-17, version 1.7.0* I’ve been looking for an app to replace Fidelity, but unfortunately, you can’t open the app without creating an account with Tradier; so a user has no idea if this is a platform they might enjoy using unless they open an account first. It looks quite nice but since I can’t get past the login screen I’ll never know if I want to create an account. **Developer response:** Hi there, the Rho app is a stocks and options trading platform built for simplicity but yet can handle advanced trading strategies. Like any trading platform operating in the United States, a firm is required by US federal law to perform KYC/AML checks on its customer. On top of that, to view real-time stocks and options data, you are required to have an account in place. When I tried to add a bank to a account I keep getting error messages. This has been an issue for almost an year and now they decided to add commissions for each trade you do. Laggy and extremely buggy. You will miss trades every single day. Only good if you will be trading with a API. Other than that do not come here. (API is crazy too) if I could give 0 I would. ### 1/5 — Horrible App-has major software issues *2024-04-03* Don’t even waste your time downloading this trading app. It is by far the worst I have ever used. It has major technical operational issues including closing out suddenly, going blank and not giving order status which is so frustrating. I have been telling them about these issues for months on end and they don’t fix anything. AND NOW, as of April 1st they are charging fees for each buy you make and then also charge you a fee for the sell transaction also! Their fees are immensely high compared to brokerages that charge fees too. So why not just use a totally free app with no software bugs and issues like webull, robinhood, tasty trade, first trade, fidelity, public, schwab or vanguard? Tradier has become the cesspool of the brokerage world, steer far and clear of this one or you will be sorry like me. **Developer response:** We are sorry to hear you are having an issue. Platform is not easy to use for new customers. You need to provide videos on how to trade your platform, maybe you have them and I don’t know where they’re at. **Developer response:** Thank you for the feature suggestion; we will work to address this in future feature releases. ### 1/5 — Buggy.. very buggy *2023-11-15* I created my account and just now downloaded the app. I haven’t even been in the account 5 minutes and it crashed on me 3 times. That may be a a sign because I was going to transfer money into it. I may be rethinking my decision now. Please re-download the app; that should address the issue. ### 1/5 — Lots of technical issues with the app *2023-10-18* I don’t know who is running the software engineering on this app, but they need to go flip burgers at mcdonalds. Its absolutely horrid. The app suddenly closes on me all the time whether I’m on my phone or tablet. Then, they also have this problem where all your orders and positions disappear from time to time and today is one of those days!! Again!! Somebody in this company needs to get their stuff together here because the software engineers here are the absolute worst. Nothing like not being able to trade and your stocks are moving and you want to sell. You also can’t put in an order for GTC+extended hours so I constantly have to re-enter orders if I want to have a chance for my order to trigger during extended hours trading which is when a lot of stocks pump. I’m so sick of entering my orders for extended hours every day. This app is terrible! Definitely leaving and going elsewhere. **Developer response:** We are sorry to hear you are having an issue. The latest version on iPhone simply hangs. I am forced to use the laptop for trading. I don’t like it. ### 1/5 — Glitchy and crashes *2023-06-30* Every time I try to switch from my accounts it gives me a reading saying that my brokerage is empty and there’s nothing in there but I know that I have positions in there. I called, and Brian was very efficient, communicative. Despite not knowing why or how it happened, he was able to find someone to fix the issue and promptly got it handled. Very simple design which is nice at times as compared to the overwhelming features of say TOS. I would like more graphical or visual imagery as for options and their stats such as the bell curve to see visually how the option contract will behave but that is a suggestion. Fast execution and very nice fills. Way better value than TD Ameritrade and way better reliability than Robinhood ### 5/5 — Logs you out every other day *2019-10-14, version 4.4.1* It logs you out every day, requiring you to go to Tradier to log in. It doesn’t offer to save your password so you’re constantly stuck typing this over and over again. So annoying! **Developer response:** Hi there, due to the security requirements from your Tradier Brokerage account, Tradier resets its security protocol every 24hrs. Therefore you are automatically logged out by the Tradier system. However, if your phone has Touch ID or Face ID enabled, the app will automatically save your password to the keychain and log you in automatically. This feature is widely used by all our members. It’s really easy to understand. Love that I can do combos, spreads and shorting. Also, I’ve been able to contact their support and get answers within minutes.
