After they stopped it was impossible to find camera apps on major roads in the USA and other countries. Many apps would advertise they had it, but they were all useless. This is the only current complete app for a minor price that actually permits the driver to see the traffic on all the major roads in real time in the United States and other countries. For those that drive on major highways in the United States and other countries this app is a must even if you have a GPS that gives you some traffic alerts or warnings. The driver gets the camera picture within minutes of current conditions as seen by the camera. GET THIS APP - YOU WILL NOT LEAVE HOME WITHOUT CHECKING OR AS YOU DRIVE LONG DISTANCE. There are some bugs and short comings. Not all states have all the cameras available. For example, I-95 is not available currently through Georgia or South Carolina. Florida I-95 cameras are in an abnormal order above mile marker 220 and there is no way to correct them to put them in the right ascending or descending order. This is a mistake by the app maker. For an unknown reason some states do not have cameras where one would anticipate cameras to be available. I cannot detailed if this is a shortcoming of the app maker or a deficiency by the department of transportation for the state. In Florida, Miami has shut off the availability of the cameras. Unfortunately, the department of transportation varies from state to state so there is no consistency in the availability of these traffic cams. To date these traffic cams are the best way for us to visually see what is happening on various state and inter-state roads. Various apps and cars (like the Tesla, Audi, Mercedes) provide through their navigation package updated traffic recommendations which are extremely helpful for the traveling public. This app provides a visual aid when the department of transportation provides for traffic cams on these highways. ### 5/5 — Very useful app *2017-04-14, version 2.5.2* I cannot leave every morning without checking this app for traffic. Traffic Cam+ has about as many advantages over Traffic View as TV it has over TC+. So let's compare (in hopes that this app can improve): 🚓🚑🚕🚗🚙Traffic Cam+🚙🚗🚕🚌🚓 😃 No view limit. The cameras will run for as long as they are turned on. 👊😃 Several countries are included. 👋😡 No "favorites" or saved cams. Every time we open the app, we must navagate Country...State...Highway group...Highway 👋😡 Lack of complete organization. Cities aren't listed. Instead, the cameras are grouped into highways that can run as far as clear across and around the state. 👋😡 No map. It is sometimes helpful to click on a map with indications of camera placement. Especially when new to the area, it's not always easy to look up cameras when the user isn't familiar with highway names. 👋😡 App crashes on me when I try to open it from the task bar. It's best to open it after closing the app completely. 👋😡 Fewer frame shots per minute. To every frame shots Traffic Cam+ has, Traffic View has three. HOWEVER, this is an in-app purchase option...HOWEVER, Traffic View is otherwise free, whereas Traffic Cam+ costs $.99 at initial download. For this, all things being equal, Traffic Cam+ should have more frequent camera shots. 🚓🚌🚕🚗🚙Traffic View🚙🚗🚕🚌🚓 👋😡 View time is limited to 25-30 seconds; 15 frame shots. 👋😡 Cameras are limited to the U.S., only. Traffic Cam+ has gone global, with several countries around the world. 😃 Favorites can be saved and rearranged for best usage. 😃👍 Cameras are arranged by cities: State...city...camera. 😃 Map is included with "pushpins" marking locations of cameras. 😃 App has been basically stable, with no crashes that I can recall; even when it was installed on earlier models and iOS versions. 😃 Frame shots are more frequent than Traffic Cam+. For every one shot TC+ shows, TV has shown three. Ok, ok, so there are a few more advantages TV has over TC+; but nothing a little programming and coding can't fix. Most of them are organization issues. Technically, you, the reader, can get these cameras off of the Internet; specifically, trafficland.com. Frankly, I'm shocked that they don't have their own camera app. While searching for it, I noticed a traffic app, TrafficCamNZ. I'm planning on downloading it, since it does seem to be OK. If so, expect an updated review to compare it with the other two. ** But until then, if you are serious about watching traffic cams, or your life, like mine, is so boring that you find traffic cams FUN to watch, it would behoove you to download both TrafficCam+ and Traffic View. AND if stranger-stalking is more your thang, iSpy is another great camera that is a colłection of videos in different establishments...around the world (or, at least nation). Have fun! ** UPDATE: DO NOT GET Traffic CamNZ. It is the worst traffic camera -- or ANY camera -- app that I've ever downloaded.
