## What is Trailhome?

Trailhome answers the three questions that actually matter out there: Which way is back? Is the weather turning? Will I make it before dark?

THE WAY BACK
• Records a filtered breadcrumb trail (hiking workout session keeps it running screen-off).
• Backtrack arrow walks you crumb-by-crumb to the trailhead — no maps, no downloads, no signal.

THE SKY
• On-device barometer trend (least-squares over a rolling 3 h window) warns when pressure falls at storm speed. It needs about 45 minutes of samples before it will say anything, and it needs a watch with a barometer.

THE CLOCK
• Verified NOAA solar math computes sunset for exactly where you stand; your measured pace (a default is used until you have walked far enough to measure one) plus a terrain factor estimate the return; Trailhome taps you at 'leave now'.

Everything on-device. No account, no servers, no data collection. Guard sessions are designed to draw battery like a workout session does.

Trailhome gives estimates and guidance for well-prepared walkers. It is not a rescue, distress or emergency service and does not replace a map, a compass or your own judgement. Always tell someone your route.

### 1.5 — 2026-08-31

The backtrack arrow now recovers on rough GPS: under dense canopy or after a cold start it re-finds the right breadcrumb instead of pointing at one you already passed — and when the fix is too weak to resolve a direction, the arrow says so instead of pretending.
The storm sentry reads sea-level pressure, so a climb is not a storm; while you climb more than 50 m it pauses and says why.
'Leave by' now uses tonight's real twilight where you stand (20–60 min) instead of a flat 30 minutes, and the screen tells you when GPS silence has frozen the distance behind the countdown.

### 1.4 — 2026-08-26

The store page now states the subscription terms in full — price, period, renewal and how to cancel — and the Korean and Norwegian pages are complete.

The app itself is unchanged in this version. Trailhome still records the way back on the watch, with no account and no server.

### 1.3 — 2026-08-22

The screen that sells Trailhome Pro now speaks your language.

• The Pro lock screen explained what Pro unlocks — in English, whichever language you use. It is translated now.

### 1.2 — 2026-08-22

• The Trailhome Pro screen no longer opens empty when the App Store is slow to answer. It waits, retries up to three times, and says plainly if the store really cannot be reached — instead of showing an error before it has even asked.
• Norwegian is declared correctly again. In 1.1 the language code was silently dropped from the app's own declaration, so Norwegian was missing from the list of languages the app speaks.

### 1.1 — 2026-08-19

• Trailhome Pro: the full return plan instead of just the next step, saved routes, and a tap on your wrist when the turnaround time arrives.
• Bought Trailhome when it was a paid app? Pro is yours permanently, at no extra cost — nothing to restore, nothing to pay.

The alert that tells you something is wrong is never behind the paywall. What Pro buys is scope, not warnings.
• The App Store page now lists every language the app actually speaks, not just English.
