## What is TrailsIQ Go?

Know if your trail is open before you leave the house. TrailsIQ Go gives you live trail conditions from the people who maintain them, alerts you when trails close, and lets you report problems in a few taps.

Built by a working trail crew in Vermont.

LIVE TRAIL CONDITIONS
See whether a trail or a whole network is open, closed or needs caution. Updates come straight from the local trail organization, so you get the real status, not a guess.

CLOSURE ALERTS
Turn on notifications and hear about it the moment a trail closes for wet conditions, storm damage, build work or wildlife. No more driving to a closed trailhead.

REPORT ISSUES IN SECONDS
Downed tree, washout, damaged bridge? Snap a photo, drop a pin where you're standing and send it. Your report goes directly to the crew responsible for that trail, so it gets fixed faster.

HELP KEEP YOUR TRAILS GREAT
Most trails are kept open by small crews and volunteers. Every report you send helps them find problems sooner and spend their time where it counts.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.8 — 2026-10-11

Organization profiles now have the same link as the app

### 1.7 — 2026-10-10

TrailsIQ Report is now TrailsIQ Go, with a new icon and a new look while it loads.

It's the same app: your favorites, your account and your reports all carry over, and there's nothing to set up again.

### 1.6 — 2026-10-05

Follow up on what you report
- Sign in with just your email, no password, to see what happened to each report you sent: waiting for review, accepted, being worked on, fixed or not added.
- Get a notification when a crew updates one of your reports.
- Your account is optional. You can still report a trail issue without one, and you can delete your account in the app at any time.

Volunteer workdays
- Check in at a trail workday by scanning the organizer's code, or with your location when you're at the meeting spot.
- Scan a code on the wrong day and the app opens that event so you can still see the details.

Also
- A cleaner menu.
- Photos from your library keep the location they were taken at.

### 1.5 — 2026-09-29

Report from a photo you've already taken. Pick a picture from your library and TrailsIQ places your report where the photo was taken, including photos stored in iCloud.

A quicker start. The app connects faster when it opens and tells you clearly if it can't reach the network, so you're never left waiting on a blank screen.

### 1.4 — 2026-09-14

• Searching for an organization works. It was answering "No matches" to everything — if you looked for your local club and concluded they weren't here, look again.

• The map no longer comes up as a grey box. It falls back to a second source before giving up, and says what's wrong if something really is.

• "Checking your location" is about half as long, so you're reporting sooner on a weak connection.

• Opening the app no longer says "You appear to be offline" when you have full bars. A slow start says it's still loading; the offline message means you're actually offline.

• A retry on a bad connection can't file a duplicate report.

• Each organization can publish its own list of issue types, so you pick from what that crew actually tracks.

• New app icon and launch screen.
