Managed to successfully use the app for about 8 months. Now it says 'no internet connection' which there is clearly a connection and I can't get any new or back issues. The support page only leads to a 404 page.

Ive been a subscriber to Train for more than three years, however in the last year.. I have been having problems downloading newer issues from the Train magazine server... I have deleted and reinstalled the app multiple times to no avail... I've contacted Train, who were helpful in sending me some hard copies of the magazine... But this doesn't solve my issue with downloading onto iPad. Great magazine but if the issue can't be rectified, I'll have to cancel my subscription... It don't want to have to carry around hard copies.

So, against the advice of other people purchasing this app, I did and purchased a back issue, for which I was charged. 
However, the app shows the magazine continuously buying, but never downloading. This is such a shame, because it is one of the better training magazines currently printed.

I subscribe to TRAIN magazine and I LOVE IT!! 
The fact that I have to pay again to have it on my iPad is a joke. Even if I wanted to buy it the screen would never update. What a shame it is that a great magazine has such a terrible app.

I subscribed to both the digital and print issues. This app rarely shows the magazine covers, and if you try to either buy or download just sits there - nothing happens. Have deleted and reinstalled several times to no avail. **POOR**

Subscribed to the app and have been constantly frustrated. The recent issues just give 'updating price' message and you're not able to download them. The people in the Train Magazine office have been great and sent me a paper copy, but seem to be at the mercy of the app developers who don't seem to be addressing the issues.

The app for your tablet is worthless. Most of the time the cover picture isn't available or the price is updating. It's easier and quicker to buy a new stand copy but with crappy customer service and an un-willingness to fix the issues which apparently many people complain about (for some time)why bother. The company obviously does not care.

Great info and worked great until 2 months ago. Actually never got to read issue 20. Emailed them and they said that person responsible for uploading the magazine had left the company. Can't download issue 21 still today. Will be asking for refund or paper subscription with several free copies.

Foolishly, just renewed my subscription.  Every month brings a new app problem.  An issue won't download, the app refuses to connect to the internet when a good connection exists, app forgets I'm a subscriber.  I enjoy the magazine during the rare times I can get at a copy.  The app is poor and dysfunctional.  Web link to app support wasn't even working to complain.  Based on the reviews here, not sure why nobody at the magazine seems to notice how this reflects on them.

This app is a disaster. It should not even be available for download. Avoid downloading and save yourself some heartache. I've requested a refund through Apple - as you can't get the refund through the 3rd party. It's even put me off buying the hard copy.

I downloaded this app and subscribed immediately.  As an avid fan of train magazine, I foolishly believed that this app would be of the same high standard as the magazine.  I was wrong.  This months magazine is almost 2 weeks old, and is still not showing.

I wasn’t able to download any issues, just like the other reviews state. I contacted the publisher who then forwarded me on to the help desk. I never heard back from them after reporting problems twice. I asked apple for a refund and deleted the app. Great magazine that deserves a better app.

Paid for the subscription and could not download any issues. Nothing would work. Good luck trying to get app support. Thank God Apple refunded my subscription.

Don't waste your time or money on this app. Funny how the app will let you purchase a magazine but not download it. I believe that is called theft.

Right..

If your like me and you used to read these mags back in the day. Then save your money, half of the magazines are just repeated articles from a few months prior (Don’t believe me then waste your money). 
Pure lazy writing and lack of imagination for what was a great magazine. People have also mentioned it before, nearly half of the pages are double spread pictures to fill it out along with countless ads. 

On top of this don’t bother if you think these mags come out monthly as they DO NOT!
I’ve had emails confirming this from the media group. 

Massively disappointed, I really hope in the future they improve but I won’t be around to find out.

Disappointing that this app does not give the whole magazine only the men’s version, not the ladies part too ,as the print magazine does. I have complained but they are not interested.

The magazine looks great, it has good writing, and is informative.  The app is absolute trash and since it is digital only, it’s very difficult to actually enjoy the magazine. 

The articles will rarely actually download. There doesn’t appear to be a good browser based option to read it on a larger screen.

Paid for a paper subscription when the app was buggy. I enjoyed the magazine.  Recently got a note in the mail that said they were going all digital and I would have Digital subscription instead.  I can open the app just fine but can’t log in and the forgot password button leads to a blank screen.  I emailed address on the card I received in the mail and never heard back.

I used to subscribe to the magazine thru the mail so honestly I never had a problem until i decided not to renew and purchased the digital copy only to find out there was no women's content in it. I enjoy reading the men's content as well but I am a female and needed that more. Emailed customer service and never heard back.

The app was broken for a year... but then they made good so that was fine... but right on the cover it tells you that the free women's body bible is inside... and for quite some time it was... but now it isn't... when I inquired I was told that you had to go to train for women and subscribe ( it is free)... but I am female... so the female part is the main draw... so i am out a subscription again... PLEASE GET THE WORDS "FREE!FLIP FOR YOUR WOMEN'S BODY BIBLE" OFF OF THE COVER OF THE DIGITAL MAGAZINE... IT IS A BALD FACED LIE!!!!

This app doesn't remember the page you left off at, loads images painfully slowly, and doesn't allow you to disable auto renew subscription in settings. It took a week waiting for customer service to get my purchases restored after try to reinstall to fix the page remembering problem. Do not get this app.

I downloaded the app cause I saw the magazine in a store and it appealed to me. The app however just says no internet connection when there is internet. Anyway obviously it is garbage. What kills me is that I see a review that someone made back in 2015 saying the app is broken yet here it is in 2016 still broken. Hey apple, why clutter the universe with broken crap? If they don't care to fix it, then remove that darn thing.

Subscribed in March 2015. Couple of mags downloaded fine and then they disappeared. Hasn't worked since.  Won't download issues that have been paid for. But I'm pretty sure the automatic subscription renewal would have worked jussssssst fine! ;) Great magazine. Rubbish app - not worth the one star I'm forced to give.

Can only assume the one-star reviews here are before the app underwent various big fixes and updates. Works perfectly well for me across my devices. The content itself, as I’ve come to expect from these guys, is always first-class!

The very best women's body building magazine out today. I started with Shape magazine and Rachel McLish (who is still my all-time favorite woman bodybuilder to this day)! Then I loved Oxygen, now Train for Her is to me just what it says it is...the bodybuilders Bible...

Now, the app is bad. I wanted digital and it doesn't explain things very well. Hire me and I'll organize everything from your app on up and send the sales through the roof! The mag is already perfect so I'm your woman! Now give me my digital!

The magazine app itself is great, easy to read and navigate. However the new magazine has been in shops for about 3 weeks and is still not on the app! If they could only sort that out this would be a 5 star app easily! Please please please sort it out!

I really like the magazine and have bought a 12 month subscription and the magazine itside the app is great...but the newstand portion notification is constantly telling me there is a new issue to download even when there isn't and when I go into newstand and there is a new issue, the app says that i have to pay for it untill i click on restore purchases and go through the whole downloading thing again, and then I finally get the option to download the current magazine, and have to go through the downloading again.

I've done that for the current issue 8 volume 2 and now the app is telling mw that I need to buy issue 7 volume 2 when I already should have it as part of my subscription, and everytime I tell it to restore purchases it never comes back.

The content of Train is very good; however the app and lack of updates / support are sad to see.  If you really like the magazine I would recommend a print subscription.  Until the publisher decides if they want a functional app, very few people will be able to get the content they paid for from the app.

This is meant to be a digital version of the magazine, not a crappy scanned version go the magazine. My advice is buy the hard copy version, and wait till they sort a decent digital version. 
(Even zooming in on digital version is blurry)
Other mags even have hyperlinks on all the adverts in case you want to buy the goods, this with "Train"

In fact if your listening please give me back my money, or send me the hard copy.
