## What is trainara?

Trainara — Your AI cycling coach

Trainara is the app that trains with you. Built for amateur cyclists chasing real goals, it brings training plans, nutrition, and performance analysis together in one experience guided by artificial intelligence.

Tell it your goal —a sportive, a race, or simply getting fit— and Trainara builds an adaptive plan that adjusts to your progress, your fatigue, and your real-life calendar. Every workout has a reason, and the app explains it.

What you'll find:
- An adaptive training plan that evolves week by week
- Nutrition planning integrated with your training load
- AI-powered analysis of your sessions and performance
- Chat with your assistant: ask, adjust, and understand your plan
- Activity sync and progress tracking

Free trial and subscription
Trainara includes a 14-day free trial, no card required. During the trial you get full access to everything. When the trial ends, access to training plans, nutrition, and the AI chat requires a paid Premium subscription. You can subscribe inside the app and cancel anytime.

Trainara Premium subscription
- Trainara Premium (monthly) — 14,99 £
- Trainara Premium (annual) — 129,99 £ (discounted vs. monthly)

Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription automatically renews unless it is canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of each period. You can manage and cancel your subscription in your account settings on the App Store after purchase. Any unused portion of the free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.2.0 — 2026-09-23

The gym stops being a label, and what you tell your coach sticks.

• Your gym sessions now tell you how many reps and how much load each exercise asks for. Until now you read "Back Squat · 2 min" and made up the rest yourself.
• And they stop being the same one every time: the type of session follows the season phase you are in, and it changes from one week to the next instead of repeating.
• If you train at home, say so in Settings. You pick the equipment you actually have and your coach stops prescribing trap bar deadlifts and sled pushes.
• When you tell it something that holds from now on — "Tuesdays no longer work for me" — it asks whether that was just this week or from here on, and keeps it. It also stops promising things it cannot do, and saying no to things it can.
• Before you create your season, the home screen already shows you your fitness, your freshness and today's rides, instead of a button and little else.
• The Quebrantahuesos card on day one comes with your coach's strategy written out, not just a table of watts and times.
• If your coach writes to you in the small hours, the message waits for you the next morning instead of being lost.
• Fixes: a message from your coach that you had already read can no longer be lost if something crashes mid-answer; running power stops counting as cycling load and skewing your FTP; your rides from the last few weeks stop importing with zero load; ending your season refreshes the app right away; starting a new season no longer drags the old conversation and races along; and a day you clear no longer fills itself back up.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-09-15

Your season in bars, and your routes with a strategy.

• Your season card stops being an abstract curve and starts showing you the plan: how much load each week asks of you, how much of it you have done, and which block of the season you are in, with the phases laid out underneath.
• My Routes stop being a map. Your coach writes out how to ride the route, calls the climbs by their name instead of "Cat 2 climb", and works out what to eat and drink on each stretch rather than handing you a generic recommendation.
• If you have an ELEMNT connected, workouts reach it on their own, with their description and in your language: until now everything Trainara pushed to a head unit went out in English.
• We warn you before your season runs out, so you do not wake up on a Monday with no plan and no idea why.
• Your coach now knows whether anyone is telling it what you do. If you have no account connected it says so before prescribing anything, instead of planning blind. And if you tell it that running is your thing, it stops building you a cycling season.
• When you write to support about billing, it knows whether you are on trial or subscribed and through which store, so it tells you what can actually be done instead of promising what cannot. It can also explain the season chart to you.
• If you leave setup half done, the reminder talks about the exact screen you stopped on.
• You can redeem an invitation code inside the app, no website needed.
• Fixes: setting your goals by chat no longer wipes the current week; moving a session to another day no longer duplicates its during-ride food; a power meter that runs out of battery no longer blocks the ride from importing; and picking a .gpx your phone cannot read now tells you so instead of doing nothing.

### 1.0.0 — 2026-09-07

Your plan reaching the handlebars in one piece, and getting started without the waiting.

• Your planned sessions arrive complete again. Some came through with their blocks at zero minutes and the intervals shrunk —a 4x8' read as a 1x8'— so they never made it to your intervals.icu calendar, or from there to your head unit.
• Getting started no longer keeps you waiting. Creating your account, moving on to connect your accounts and opening the app on a bad signal stop hanging on a spinner: if something takes a while, we carry on instead of stopping you.
• Your coach's first conversation opens by giving you something: it greets you by name and starts from the watts reference you have just seen, instead of opening with questions. Your age takes one tap, and your weight is no longer asked twice.
• Estimated times for a sportive now account for the weight of the bike. Until now they were worked out as if you climbed without it: splits and finish time are far closer to what your watch says.
• If the Strava link expires while you are connecting, the app catches you with a message instead of leaving you on a page of raw text.
• And when you log out on a phone, notifications stop reaching it.

### 0.9.0 — 2026-09-04

Connecting your accounts, and training the strength you said you train.

• Connecting Strava no longer gets lost on the way. Authorising happens inside the app: with Strava installed you no longer land in its feed with the connection half done, and if you get stuck at the login there's a Cancel that brings you back. The link also lasts 30 minutes instead of 10.
• And if reading your rides takes a while, you no longer wait: sign-up carries on and your pacing sharpens itself as soon as the data lands.
• A one-hour gym session is a real hour. Three new 60-minute sessions with their exercises, and out go the empty ones that stretched to fill the slot.
• Strength comes back to the plans that asked for it: if you said at sign-up that you train strength and your plan came out without it, it gets repaired.
• If the same ride reaches us twice from two accounts, we keep the copy that carries the data. No more completed sessions with zero load.

### 0.8.0 — 2026-09-03

You start by seeing what you can do, not by filling in forms.

• Your Quebrantahuesos, right away. The first step after signing up is a pacing plan for the race: pick how we calibrate you, answer two or three questions, and see watts, time and effort climb by climb — before connecting anything.
• Climbs by name. Marie-Blanque, Portalet or Somport now show their real names in the route pacing, and a climb split by a short flat section reads as one climb again.
• Your coach notices what you do outside the plan. Ride without a season and you hear about it, with help on your goals. Upload gym sessions with no strength days set and your coach offers to fit strength into the plan.
• The strength you asked for makes it into the plan. What you tell us about your gym sessions at the start now shapes the planning.
• A walk no longer completes your long ride: to close a session, what you upload has to look like what was planned.
• When you fall short and the plan stays as it is, your coach says so instead of going quiet.
