### 3/5 — Worked well at first, now seems to be overdue for updates

*2023-08-15, version 2.0.9*

This was initially pretty easy to use. I liked that, if a particular track was not available, you could add it. Granted, you were inputing each track piece one at a time, but it was rather easy, despite being time consuming. Designing a 3D plan was a bit tricky, and the track loops didnkt quite connect, but it was close enough to help me figure out what track to order.

Now, about 2 years later, I want to design a new layout. Unfortunately, it seems the app doesn’t respond as well, and there hasn’t been an update in quite a while. I’m trying to design a small layout for a fixed dimension piece of remnant plywood, and I’m having difficulty even setting the boundary dimensions, let alone start the track design.

I hope the developers haven’t moved on, and will update the app soon.

### 2/5 — Wrong geometry for minitrix

*2023-02-13, version 2.0.9*

This could be a good piece of software with some work but for the track I was using the geometry is off quite a bit.

### 3/5 — Incomplete libraries

*2022-05-18, version 2.0.9*

A pretty nifty app with great features. The track libraries in the app do not match the list provided on their website. PLEASE add the Rokuhan Z track library to the app!!! ( I will change my rating to 5 stars when you do 😬)

### 3/5 — useful app

*2021-03-26, version 2.0.6*

Not a complete track list!!

This app will be more uses full if they ad more track lists

### 1/5 — Don’t waste your money buying this app

*2020-12-05, version 2.0.6*

Completely useless, unless you use one of their plans

### 1/5 — Poor for g-scale

*2020-10-20, version 2.0.6*

Can't get his to work very well for g-scale size layouts, cannot zoom out far enough to display anything close to a layout

### 1/5 — Don’t waste £1.99

*2020-08-12, version 2.0.5*

I tried to design my own track I couldn’t place the track where I wanted too, I couldn’t make out the track components due to been small graphics on a black background which is a stupid idea, it would have been better white on black.

### 4/5 — Getting better!

*2020-08-02, version 2.0.5*

It’s a great app, I find it so useful really, amazing features. I’ve not used any other... so I have no benchmark, but seems real cool.
The new version says you can select multiple tracks, but I’ve not worked how to do that, and whilst there are videos, there is no straightforward manual.
As far as I can see, the major limitation is not being able to join sets of track. For example, create a 50 track layout then realise it is slightly too long. So delete a straight middle of either side and rejoin a foot shorter? No it seems you have to delete the entire end and relay? It could be me!!
Anyway, I love it and urge people to pay the buttons to get it and inspire the author to keep improving :-) thanks!

### 3/5 — Quite useful, could be great with a few additional features.

*2020-07-31, version 2.0.5*

I’ve been using this app for a couple of years now so I have become at least moderately proficient at it. I am using it exclusively for designing layouts using Märklin K and C track. It is the plethora of track dimensions in the Märklin line that make the app difficult to use and this is not the fault of the app itself which does a wonderful job of maintaining the scale and dimension of each piece of track as it is added to the layout design. Once a layout is properly designed, constructing the layout on the ground using the track pieces specified in the design will produce the intended result and that is what I need and what this app does. My one complaint is that a saved layout can not be altered or updated and the new version saved while preserving the original design should one want to save it for future reversion or reference. It seems that a “save layout as” function would be easy to add and this would greatly enhance the usefulness of this really good design app.

### 4/5 — Good app

*2020-06-13, version 2.0.4*

I love this app because you can select different gauges/scales from different companies around the world. The only question I keep asking my self is “will my trains look good on 36 inch radius curves” I wish they could put on models of the coaches to see how many coaches you can fit in. And what the coaches look on tight corners

### 1/5 — Wasted money

*2020-05-14, version 2.0.4*

Very buggy and too complicated to use. It’s only saving grace is it’s layout library. Save yourself some money and pass it by.

### 4/5 — Awesome so far! Not complete, but customizable!

*2020-01-01, version 2.0.4*

Immediately, I noticed the app had several Atlas categories, but no O-scale 3-rail track, which is what we use primarily.
I soon discovered it allows for you to create your own track code category and populate it with “custom” track designs, allowing me to create a category for Atlas 3-rail track!
A bit of extra work for me, true, but, it means I can design using the track of my choice!!! I decided to label the track items by their Atlas item # and simple description, i.e. “6010 Terminal.”

### 3/5 — Really useful

*2019-02-01, version 2.0.2*

Really useful app, great for planning. Having some bug issues with panning and crashing

### 3/5 — Some flaws that needs to be fixed

*2018-09-09, version 2.0.2*

Your layout is limited to about 5’ X 5’. You can go larger but you can only move the layout when it is this size. I have to zoom in move to where I want to work then zoom back in. But that’s not all. When zooming out or in, if you aren’t in this 5x5 zone, you cannot could on the zoom moving into where you want to go. So I had to learn to work zoomed way out. Needs some serious work.
Don’t count on building on a large layout. You can design small segments!
Also needs to have inch/feet option, only has metric. You can set the grid to 304mm and you have 1 foot grids.
Has a learning grid. (Work around)
However, Nice program when it works. Fix these issues and they could charge $20 or more for this program. Some help screens would help the learning curve.

### 4/5 — Useful for the price

*2018-02-14, version 2.0.2*

I’ve used this for a while now, mainly for O, an HO. It is very useful for the price. I’d like to see Fastrack and Realtrax added, but I’ve made due with the O27 library. What would also be useful would be the ability to use track from multiple manufacturers on a single track plan. A few more buildings might help too. In spite of this, I’ve found it a useful app.

### 1/5 — Couldn’t get it to work

*2017-12-30, version 2.0.1*

Drag a piece out and set it it disappears. Needs a tutorial.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Very poor app

*2025-08-08, version 2.10*

Don’t waste your money

### 1/5 — Does not work on iPad Air

*2023-07-09, version 2.0.9*

Downloaded and selected peco n guage code 80 track. 1st track selects but then app locked up . Tried several times but same result

### 1/5 — Garbage

*2023-02-08, version 2.0.9*

Waste of money. The editor does not work. Cannot rotate pieces. Would give it zero stars if I could.

### 1/5 — Bye bye $2.00

*2022-10-27, version 2.0.9*

This app. is so bad , they would have to pay me to give it 1 star!

### 1/5 — Not quite ready for meaningful use yet

*2022-08-15, version 2.0.9*

Spent 2 bucks to see if maybe this was a viable program.
It isn't......at least not yet.
Probably a good start to build this program for future use, but now it needs a fair amount is work to be of use.
Definitely not user friendly at this point.

### 1/5 — What a joke

*2022-06-07, version 2.0.9*

Full of bugs, can’t move track once placed, rotate turnout doesn’t always work (tool not enabled), quirky interface (that is, lame…), no provision for flex track, I could go on, but why bother. It’s only $2, but I want my money back anyway.

### 1/5 — PLEASE FIX TO MOVE SELECTED TRACK.

*2022-04-30, version 2.0.9*

Great app but Unstable, can’t move selected track, please fix it. PLEASE FIX TO MOVE SELECTED TRACK.

Please fix app to be usable.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work for me either

*2021-05-17, version 2.0.6*

Same problem as others - I can’t even get the first track piece set. What am I doing wrong?

### 1/5 — Useless

*2021-03-09, version 2.0.6*

Paid for, downloaded and opened. Could select items from the menu but that was it, couldn’t do anything with them. No help pages, support in foreign language. Don’t waste your time or money.

### 1/5 — Not usable

*2021-01-10, version 2.0.6*

This is junk. Zooming is sketchy, losing my track. Cant switch the red dot to continue with different track. This is truly a time waster of the worst kind. Developer should be ashamed of taking money for an app that is not useable. This should be pulled from the store. I wonder how many others have contributed their $2. Wonder how much developer has scammed. Its stealing! Theft! Fraud!
Give me my money back.
Oh and the plan library has a plan used multiple times! Just change the name and use it again. If you just google you can find most if these plans and more for free. Just do screen capture and build your own library.
SCAM

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — So far so good

*2022-02-22, version 2.0.9*

The app is very intuitive but if you need some help there are some videos on the authors website plus on YouTube. For $2 it’s a worthwhile investment compared to the $59 I was considering shelling out. Since I’m only designing one layout, which is all the room I have to spare, I figured I’d give it a shot. So far so good. The variety of tracks is sufficient for my needs. Not sure who said you can only modify existing plans but that’s not accurate. I designed a simple layout within minutes.

### 5/5 — What a fantastic app!

*2019-06-21, version 2.0.4*

I got this just a week ago and I love it.

### 5/5 — Works Fine

*2017-11-01, version 2.0.1*

I was quite surprised with how well and easy this app is to use. You can spend $40 to $100 for a desktop software, but this does the same thing for a couple of dollars.

### 5/5 — Just what I was looking for.

*2016-07-31, version 1.5.4*

You can select the manufacturer of the track you are using, it includes the item numbers and the videos are very helpful. I was able to get going in a matter of minutes.

### 5/5 — I'm really enjoying this app.

*2015-08-03, version 1.4.9*

Just started using it for LGB layouts and so far it's working fine. Be sure to watch the videos, they are a great help.

### 5/5 — Great for the price

*2014-11-15, version 1.3*

This a bargain for $2. Beats the $100 competition although it does not have all of the whistles and bells of the others. I use Lionel Fastrack and worried that this app would not support it. True, the track sets that come with the app did not include Fastrack is was simple enough to create a set. Any track brand should work.

### 5/5 — Love the product!

*2014-09-20, version 1.3*

Love the product. Wish it worked for Mac.
Easy to use, excellent results, great parts list.

### 5/5 — Hoping. You go dude!

*2014-04-25, version 1.2*

So here's the thing: Based on the only other review, I was guessing this app wouldn't be immediately useful to me and it's not. But I wanted to encourage the development effort so I went ahead and bought the app anyway. There's only a couple things I really need and one other that I demand. The demand is a way to contact the developer! If you look at his site, there is no contact info. That is part of why I'm writing this review -- I'm hoping he reads it! Now on to the things I need:

I need I need feet and inches as an option. Currently, it's only a metric program.

I need other track sets than those listed. I don't know exactly how the developer is going about adding sets, but it seems to me that his current ones are a rather odd assortment for the United States. Specifically what I need is more N scale sets. Peco and Atlas which are the most common here.

### 5/5 — Much improved

*2014-04-08, version 1.2*

5 stars the upgrade and track choices make this a useful app. Wish it had Fleishmann profi ho track.

### 4/5 — Generally well done but no way to report the odd bug

*2022-05-13, version 2.0.9*

I have been playing with designing track in Marklin Z and am generally impressed, especially at this price. However, I am now stuck. I have a piece that I need to rotate twice but the rotate icon greys out after one rotation; other pieces rotate here and this piece works fine in other places. There is obviously a small bug which needs to be addressed but there is no way I have found to let the designer know about the glitch. I don’t expect any quick fixes but it would be good to be able to log the issue.
