## What is TrainerKit?

TrainerKit is an adaptive cycling companion for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch. Ride indoors with any FTMS smart trainer, outdoors with GPS, or standalone on your Apple Watch.

Daily coaching is sharper and more natural, with on-device Apple Intelligence phrasing that stays accurate and never generic. The Plan tab shows a 4-week outlook with your intensity mix and weekly load, and you can move a hard day to today with one tap when you're feeling good.

New ways to ride: an E-Bike ride type, and Wet Mode on Apple Watch that uses native Water Lock to keep rain off the screen so a downpour can't end your ride. Plus multi-day Training Trips, per-ride Strava bike assignment, and more reliable Bluetooth, iCloud sync, and Strava — your connection now survives a reinstall.

Key features:
- Adaptive daily coaching that follows how you actually ride
- Progression Blocks: multi-week campaigns to fix one weakness at a time
- Rider Profile: power-duration curve, Critical Power, and phenotype
- Indoor rides with any FTMS smart trainer
- Outdoor rides with GPS, barometric altimeter, and Kalman-filtered track
- E-Bike ride type
- Enduro ride mode with Liaison and Stage lap pairing

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 4.5 — 2026-07-21

TrainerKit 4.5 is our biggest coaching update yet.

Your Adaptive Coach
• A daily plan that follows how you actually ride — no rigid schedule to fall behind on. The Today card tells you what to do and why, in plain language.
• Progression Blocks: multi-week campaigns that target one weakness at a time — punch, climbing, durability, or efficiency — then measure whether it's working and adjust.
• Training Focus finds the power band that matters most for your goals and steers your sessions toward it.
• Rider Profile: see your power-duration curve, critical power, and your phenotype (sprinter, puncheur, diesel…) built automatically from your rides.

Plan Ahead
• A 4-week outlook with intensity mix and weekly load, so you can see where the plan is taking you.
• Move your hard day to today with one tap when you're feeling good.
• Smarter periodization around races and training trips.

Ride More Ways
• New E-Bike ride type.
• Wet Mode on Apple Watch: native Water Lock keeps rain off the touchscreen so a downpour can't end your ride.
• Enduro improvements, richer race events, and per-ride Strava bike assignment.

Reliability
• Rock-solid Bluetooth reconnection and background power recording.
• Faster, more dependable iCloud sync across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV, and Watch.
• Your Strava connection now survives a reinstall.

Plus dozens of fixes and refinements throughout.
