## What is Trainrail?

Trainrail rides along with your trains, from the night before to the last kilometre: delays, platforms, connections and the ride itself.

Know when you'll really arrive. Live delays, where your train is right now and your platform, often before the station board shows it. 12 minutes late? That's 12 more minutes at home.

ALERTS THAT MATTER
• Delays, platform changes, cancellations and skipped stops, as they happen
• Strike tomorrow? A verdict the evening before: your train runs, is retimed or is cancelled
• Dozing off? A nudge 10 minutes before your stop
• Your own delay threshold and quiet hours, train by train

LIVE, WITHOUT OPENING THE APP
• A Live Activity on the Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island, from before departure
• A Home Screen widget counting down to your next train

CATCH YOUR CONNECTION
Follow two trains with a change in between and Trainrail treats them as one journey: comfortable, tight or at risk, to the minute.

LATE? GET YOUR MONEY BACK
Trainrail spots when a delay qualifies for compensation (SNCF G30, OUIGO), gets the details ready to copy and takes you to the operator's form. Track each claim until it's paid.

SHARE YOUR RIDE
No more "where are you?" texts. Share your train with a link and they watch it come in. Friends only see your trains if you choose to show them.

ON THIS RIDE
Your speed, the weather on arrival, which side the sun is on and how this train usually runs.

STATIONS
How the station is running right now, live departures and arrivals, lifts and escalators out of order, Wi-Fi, ticket desks and Vélib' bikes nearby in Paris. When the feed has no platform, fellow travellers fill it in.

YOUR TRAVEL LOG
Every journey kept automatically: kilometres, CO₂ saved compared with car and plane, the départements you've crossed, and story cards to share.

TRAINRAIL PRO
Trainrail is free with one train at a time, including live tracking, alerts and the Live Activity. Pro unlocks unlimited trains, your whole travel log and stats, all your friends' trains and claim tracking.
Monthly or annual auto-renewing subscription. Payment is charged to your Apple Account at confirmation of purchase. The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Manage or cancel it any time in your App Store account settings.

GOOD TO KNOW
Trainrail currently covers trains in France: TGV INOUI, OUIGO, Intercités and TER. Data: SNCF open data (ODbL). Trainrail is an independent app, not affiliated with SNCF.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.1 — 2026-11-06

Trainrail 1.1 is shaped by your feedback: your platform, your seat and more room for the map.

• Your platform as soon as it's announced, on every stop of your ride, with a heads up when it's posted
• Note your coach and seat when you add a long distance train, and find them on your trip and in My trains
• Pull the panel down to open up the map: your train, your station or your whole route fills the space
• Stations and trips now open in one card. Go back with a tap or a swipe instead of piling up screens
• Station search that understands you: any word order, Saint or St, even airport names
• A morning reminder on the day you travel, with your train, time and destination
• Running late enough for a refund? You'll see it on the way, ready to claim once you arrive
• Your live card on the Lock Screen stays fresh and clears itself 10 minutes after you arrive
• "Get ready" now comes in the last 10 minutes before your stop, and your train only shows as arrived once it really has
