### 5/5 — Haulage

*2019-10-09, version 9.1*

I have put in some haulage one is in twice so when I try to delete one it all disappears off the screen not once but every time.Hope it can be sorted.

### 5/5 — A lot better.

*2019-07-08, version 6.9*

Persevered and more reliable since update. Now the app I wanted.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2019-06-28, version 7.9*

A complete history of all your spots and haulage readily accessible from your phone.... what’s not to like.
Easy to use, view, export and update and with a fantastic and very helpful support team.
Great app!
Great customer service!

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2019-06-15, version 7.7*

This app is fantastic for the price and also very handy for when out and about to save carrying your books with you. The only thing I would like to see is a picture for each individual train rather than a generic one for the whole class. I don’t know if this is intentional or just a lack of photo’s being contributed thus far. Other than that it’s a great little app for the price.

### 5/5 — Fantastic response

*2019-05-05, version 7.3*

Just started to use and really enjoying the app!
Had identified a missing preserved loco, contacted Adrian who updated the listings immediately - very dedicated!

### 5/5 — Does what it says on the tin

*2019-02-09, version 6.5*

A good method of cataloging photo shoots. Seems very stable running on an iPad iOS 12.

I would like a couple more fields, train reporting number and time, but you cannot have everything.

Not as comprehensive as Locotrack running on a pc, but at least this is portable and can run on an iPhone.

### 5/5 — Top app

*2019-01-12, version 6.1*

Top spotting app

Slight issue previously but great communication and app was sorted no problem at all

### 5/5 — TrainSpotting

*2018-12-31, version 6.0*

Brilliant app for all Train enthusiasts to use
Plenty of info on all current trains and units in use today plus all steam locos on the network

### 5/5 — Superb App

*2018-12-13, version 5.9*

Great aid to have when out and about

### 5/5 — TrainSpotting on a new level

*2018-12-06, version 5.7*

Oh to have possessed such a useful program in the 1980s when I did most of my TrainSpotting. Looking forward to the program eventually including all previously withdrawn locomotives, to enable me to update all my records from the last 30 years. A really worthwhile app.

### 5/5 — Simon Payne

*2018-08-31, version 4.53*

Love this app, just input all my data in and now use it all the time. Even got one of my photos in for one of the Classes. Looking forward to working with the developer with some minor tweaks that i think could be useful.!!

### 5/5 — Loco sightings

*2018-05-22, version 4.46*

Only just found this, not absolutely perfect but certainly does the job.

### 5/5 — Just perfect

*2018-03-23, version 4.40*

This app is an absolute must for any rail enthusiast. Up to date information on current rolling stock and a great interface. Good app support from the writer too.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Needs work

*2023-06-20, version 28.5*

Over-priced, lack of detail and inaccurate photos. Cannot recommend

### 1/5 — One star - would not work no response

*2018-09-13, version 4.54*

App gets stuck in a loop so won’t work.
Emailed support but no response.
£10 wasted

### 2/5 — Problems

*2018-11-08, version 5.5*

I liked this app to start with, it was great but now all of a sudden it runs slow, gets stuck in a loop, crashes and shuts down the app when I use the browse function. Have emailed the feedback email address to see if there is a fix. I would hate to lose all the pictures I put on it. Running it on an iPhone 7 and iOS 12.1.

### 3/5 — TrainSpotting

*2021-08-28, version 19.9*

Good app although having issues with it crashing when trying to update numbers

### 3/5 — Review

*2018-08-05, version 4.51*

I am not 100% pleased with the app. For example inputting an engines name auto fills to all sorts of words same to with locations

### 4/5 — TrainSpotting

*2018-09-05, version 4.53*

Only just installed this app. Firstly when inputting haulage I was expecting the railway station codes to be recognised e.g. MAN for Manchester Piccadilly. This really needs to be included to save typing time. Can there also be a place for headcodes where known?
First impressions not bad but I’ll reserve judgement on the price when I’ve used it a lot more.

### 4/5 — Simon

*2018-02-20, version 4.35*

It’s a great find and allows me to spot as I travel the UK rail network on business. One suggestion would be that both number and location could be added at the same time.

### 4/5 — Logo??!

*2017-11-13, version 4.24*

Great easy to use app but please please change that logo! I'm not three years old.

### 5/5 — The Best

*2024-05-02, version 32.1*

Still the best, I swear by it and it’s information.

### 5/5 — TrainSpotting App

*2023-04-30, version 28.1*

There is no question in my mind, this is the best app and the best supported app, for the enthusiast. Since downloading the app, I have been enthralled by the support and the periodic updates that take place. No one needs to buy the book form of listings, when, all is available, on your phone. Through the Cloud, seamlessly, transfers the sightings to other devices. I have been using this app for some considerable time now and rate it as the most user friendly record for sightings. Having transferred all my sightings going back to the eighties, I can definitively say where I was on a given date in the past. Without the app, I do not think I would have returned to the hobby, with a pen, note book and printed record.

## Most praised reviews (8 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app

*2023-04-10, version 27.8*

Love using the app, has got me back into spotting again.
I like the scrapped & non-scrapped options, the only thing lacking in my opinion is a ‘preserved’ & ‘mainline’ option.

### 5/5 — Subscription

*2022-08-08, version 25.1*

Great app, however, just went to subscribe, pressed the subscribe button and it said the price was £1.99. Clicked to subscribe and was charged £19.99. Have requested a refund.

### 5/5 — Excellent app

*2021-10-20, version 20.2*

I have only started train spotting in the last two years it’s really handy to have the app on the phone so I can log trains on the go also Adrian who runs it is very quick to reply to emails and very helpful and very knowledgeable cannot recommend this app enough

### 5/5 — Worth using

*2021-07-18, version 19.6*

Extremely handy app for keeping track of my railway photos when out and about and speaking from experience excellent support assistance available when things go wrong

### 5/5 — Amazing

*2021-06-27, version 19.4*

Being a blind spotter I was delighted to find this app that is fully compatible with voice-over. The developer support has been amazing and they have added all the suggestions I have put forward.
The app is regularly updated with new features and information on all stock. Its the best tenner I have spent for a long time.
It just works

### 5/5 — Absolutely smashing

*2021-06-04, version 19.2*

Definitely better than taking a book with you and is easier to mark off trains! It’s brill, I’d only ask if there could be a thing that separates the operators and liveries on different trains (eg: class 150: northern, gwr)

### 5/5 — Excellent app-easy to use

*2021-05-05, version 17.9*

Very easy to use - excellent support if needed 👍

### 5/5 — Brought a childhood hobby up to date for me...

*2021-01-23, version 17.0*

I was a keen trainspotter as a child in the 1980s and have recently found some of my historical spotting books in the loft which has reignited an old love. I'd often wondered if there was an app available for iOS which would allow me to catalogue the occasional modern locomotive I have come across so imagine my delight when coming across this wonderful app. Having spent the past week inputting all the numbers from my old books, I am now in the process of adding all my old photos to it. Have contacted the developer with a couple of "nice to have" improvements and he has been very responsive. I love the app and so does my wife as it's keeping me quiet and out of her hair!
