## What is Trajectory Football?

Trajectory Football is a quiet turn-based strategy game played on a grid of intersections. Two players share control of a single ball, and every line you draw is consumed forever. There is no luck, no dice, no timer pressure — just the trail you have drawn so far and the player smart enough to read it.

HOW IT PLAYS
The ball lives on intersections, never inside cells. On your turn, send it one step in any of the eight surrounding directions. If you land on a fresh intersection, your turn ends. If you land on one that's already been visited (or on a wall), you bounce — and must keep moving. A single bounce chain can carry the ball halfway across the board in one turn. Score in the opposite goal to win. Trapping your opponent in a dead end is also a fully legal win.

WHAT MAKES IT DIFFERENT
- Shared-ball duel. Both players control the same ball — strategy is about reading the same evolving trail, not racing on parallel tracks.
- Bounce chains. Visited intersections force continued movement. Setting up a long chain that scores is the most satisfying move in the game.
- Three boards. Easy 5×7, Standard 7×9, Hard 9×11. Larger boards reward looking further ahead.
- Three AI difficulties. The opponent runs a local minimax search with alpha-beta pruning. Easy is teachable; Hard punishes lazy moves. The AI plays exactly the same rules you do.
- Local two-player. Pass-and-play on a single device.
- Ten hand-crafted puzzles. Each is a position with one elegant bounce chain that scores. Tutorial difficulty up to Hard.
- Hint, undo, replay. Tap the lightbulb mid-turn for the engine's recommendation. Step back to the start of any turn. Re-watch any past match move-by-move.
- Achievements and stats. Track wins, longest bounce chains, AI difficulties cleared, and more.
- Configurable own-goal rule. Default: own goal loses. Switch to "boundary" if you'd rather treat the wrong goal as a wall.
