I had to download Trakt because TVST kept losing all my shows and at least some of them were backed up to this app. I'm a UX designer and to put it simply, the app just isn't intuitive. TVST may have been simple and without lots of features, but at least the layout made sense. Recommendations: - Let the user click on a show and see what episodes they have and haven't watched. - The calendar is too detailed, show the series and when the next ep is out. Or at least add a toggle to allow the user to change the view. - Remove having to add when you watched something. It just adds an extra step to what should be the click of a button. - if a show has lots of episodes in a season, it's impossible to horizontally scroll to the end. Make it a vertical drop down, should be obvious. - in history why is it episode instead of the series view? Same as the calendar, you should click into the show to see detail, it's simple hierarchical navigation. List title > Show > Season > Episodes. - put that streak counter somewhere else it doesn't meet the basic function of the app. I'm sure there's more and I hope someone reads this and takes my advice so I can get back to having my shows organised. I’d prefer a better comments section on movies episodes etc similar to what tv time had. But not bad. ### 3/5 — Block feature doesn’t work *2026-08-12, version 3.9* The fact that I couldn’t find anywhere to report a bug on the app, and spent extra time trying to navigate their forums only to have such unintuitive UI where I couldn’t even find a post button, so now I am sharing feedback on here. The comment section on a lot of shows have very vocal, arrogant people who it seems post mostly for ragebait. Maybe it’s just inevitable because there will always be snobs. I tried to block one so that I don’t have to read their unproductive comments, but they still show up. I’ve tried closing the app, moving from different pages and returning to the page, going to their profile to see if there’s a block button there, but nothing. ### 4/5 — Well worth the subscription! *2026-08-09, version 3.9* Since I stream shows and movies 95% of the time, keeping track of what I’ve seen can be a challenge. This app solves that problem. Easy to track, love the calendar feature for upcoming stuff. I also track my library items under lists for things i own. I know that the web version handles owned items, but since the app does not, just makes things easier. Wish list: i have many lists for different purposes. I really wish when you add something to a list, the lists would appear in alphabetical order for ease of use. They follow the rediculous “sign in before you can use anything” pattern of X - not the best role model. Yet another company monetizing all the reviews and data users provided them. ### 3/5 — Not very user friendly *2026-07-31, version 3.8* First of all, it doesn’t have crave on the linking for premium. It’s not very accurate in recording watched items in your subscriptions. I don’t understand how you pay to link with your services if the functionality isn’t 100%. It’s kind of difficult to use, I came from tv time and this apps functionality is pretty lacking. I wish I could edit lists by selecting multiple to “drop” from watching or mark watched. I’d also like when I hit “watched” for an episode that it’d give me the option to mark previous episodes as watched… tv time was very user friendly, too bad they shut down. ### 2/5 — Bug trop *2026-07-30* Impossible de s’y connecter, l’UI ne déclenche jamais l’envoi d’un lien de connexion. Usava para catalogar o que assistia durante o ano e, de repente, tudo sumiu! ### 1/5 — V3 Made Me Uninstall *2026-07-26, version 3.8* The new update has made it almost impossible to do any of the things I was using the app for, so I deleted it and now use the web browser with V2 exclusively. V3 is really ugly to look at and hard to navigate because it’s just a list with show covers. If I wanted just a list, I’d make a spreadsheet. I used this app multiple times per day and now it’s not even installed on my phone. Update 7/26: They forced everyone into V3 so I’ll be looking for alternatives. Can’t add individual episodes to lists anymore, can’t see what’s aired that’s not in my library, can’t use any relevant or functional filters. I canceled my VIP subscription because it made sense when the site/app had features but now it’s just EXPENSIVE hot garbage. ### 3/5 — Comments improvement suggestions *2026-07-25* It would be delightful if you allowed gifs and images in the comment section. Also, when I get a push notification for replies and reactions to my comments, I can't find a notifications list with links to such reactions and replies. ### 2/5 — Bloated and Busy *2026-07-25, version 3.8* came to Trakt looking for a replacement after TV Time shut down, and I was overwhelmed almost immediately. The app feels busy, bloated, and packed with far more features than it needs. Something that should be simple, keeping track of what you’re watching, has been turned into a complicated experience. It wasn’t intuitive to find the episode I was currently on, and even marking an episode as watched felt more difficult than it should have been. I found myself searching around instead of just using the app. The one feature I did like was the ability to connect your streaming services so the app can keep track of what you’ve watched automatically. That’s a great idea, although I didn’t end up using it. If you’re looking for a straightforward replacement for TV Time, this isn’t it. If you enjoy lots of advanced features and customization, you may love it. But if all you want is a clean, simple way to track your TV shows, Trakt felt overly complicated for no good reason. ### 1/5 — Wow, guess you make money on failure? *2026-07-25, version 3.8* Well after many years together, I find out that you were cheating on me the whole time! You changed the lock on our door so I can’t even see the things we shared together. You are a horrible person. Nothing you do going forward will heal the betrayal felt after understanding that you are a gold digger. Why would you do this after all the good times we had, you knew everything, and then you shut me out, and acted like all these years together never happened. This is all your fault, I didn’t cause you to change, I didn’t change anything, and the whole world knows this is true, TRAKT beg all you want, but you were not faithful, you used me, and now that the end has come don’t start begging for forgiveness, you shall not find any. You allowed your ego to lead you. Good bye! Para melhorar a página de perfil poderia dar mais destaque ao banner, à foto e mostrar todas as séries e filmes assistidos de forma clara, como no antigo TV Time. Além disso, o VIP precisa de um preço melhor e de vantagens reais de personalização (como selos e insígnias), em vez de limitar recursos básicos ou encher o app com anúncios invasivos de assinatura. Por fim, faz muita falta um sistema de tradução e filtragem por idioma nos comentários, além da opção de interagir com fotos e GIFs…. Mas infelizmente parece que os DEVs não escutam a comunidade. ### 4/5 — Calendar *2026-07-23, version 3.7* I really like Trakt overall, but there’s one feature that I think needs a major improvement: the calendar. Right now, it’s only practical to browse week by week. If I want to see what shows are coming out several months from now, I have to keep scrolling through every single week. This makes it very difficult to track highly anticipated shows with release dates that are already known, like the upcoming Harry Potter series, or newly announced shows with future premiere dates. I think the calendar would be much more useful if it also offered a long-term view, similar to TV Time, where you can see all upcoming releases with confirmed dates, regardless of how far away they are. That makes planning and discovering future releases much easier. I hope you’ll consider adding a better way to browse upcoming shows beyond the weekly calendar. ### 1/5 — Took My Money. *2026-07-23, version 3.7* Signed up for VIP to connect with Plex. Did not connect. Useless unfinshed features, and false promises.... and support is horrid. Dont do it. ### 2/5 — Ugly but useful *2026-07-22* One of the worst looking tracking apps for sure, but the automatic tracking for certain services is amazing. As long as it remains free, cause the VIP price is absolutely ridiculous. I’d do a yearly 10 bucks or something, but come on… also watchlist limit for free accounts.. what a joke. Still gonna use it. ### 1/5 — Not Usable *2026-07-20, version 3.7* This software used to be awesome and I was happy to support them financially because of it. This new update they forced upon users is worthless. Less functionality, a cluttered and confusing UI, and basically worthless in all aspects. I tried reaching out to support and got ignored. They are censoring their own forum so you should go to google reviews or Reddit to see how their customers really feel, and all you get from the company and devs is silence. Although you will learn a valuable lesson about listening to your customers I hope, here is some free advice from a CEO. Don’t force an update or new software on your paying customers until it has all of the current features included. Don’t ignore your current customers complaints. Don’t censor your forums. Don’t refuse refunds when you make a change that takes away services and functions that your customers paid for. At this point, my best advice would be to scrap the latest update until it is complete. Otherwise your app/software will be something we all talk about that was once great and useful but was ruined by leadership that didn’t care about their paying customers wants, needs , or feedback. I was VIP for many of those and they just keep tanking itself so bad that it’s time to call it quits. In the recent year or so the app, the service and the team have change and the new direction is outrageous. I've reached the point where I left Trakt. It became a useless garbage. The team is greedy. And they delete all negative feedback or criticism whenever they can. Less information is visible at any given time. Can’t mark certain ancient episodes as watched because their air date is “TBD”. I’m not really sure how you managed to completely ruin a perfectly fine experience, but good job with that. Unintuitive and many missing features. Even the basic features are missing now. When the app switched to V3 it got extremely worse but was still usable for manually tracking (even that got worse but was still usable), eveb id that was the only usable function of the app. But at least we had the V2 web version that was still usable. Until last weal wenn they forced all VIP users to rhe unusable V3. Trakt dies for me as a long time VIP back then. Canceled the overpriced subscription I was only willing to pay because of what V2 offeres and moves over to WeTrakt (still beta and lacking some features but way better and more features that V3 Trakt). ### 1/5 — Disappointing changes. *2026-07-27, version 3.8* I have always felt like some of the hate towards Trakt was over the top, and that for the average user, the experience was fairly good. But the changes made recently to limiting connections to 1 and paywalling any more is ridiculous. Unfortunately they shut down and closed the app. Google suggested this app and was able to move my tvtime data over. So far (about a week) it’s actually been way better than tvtime. Smooth from page to page and opening app and different things within app. I haven’t had in issue yet. I loved tvtime but it was a glitchy app and always had issues loading and working right. Unfortunate they shut down but fortunately for me brought me onto a much better app (so far). ### 5/5 — Love it *2026-07-26, version 3.8* I was forced to switch to Trakt when TV Time shut down and that was turned out to be a good thing because this app is even better! Can you add country Georgia (it would be a super helpful to try a series or movie by its time when it’s released or going to be released) despite this still great application, I compared to the others and this is the best decision to move my data here ### 5/5 — Pour survivre sans TV Time *2026-07-03* Au vue de la fermeture de TV Time, j’ai du chercher une nouvelle appli, et au final j’ai réussi à trouver mon bonheur avec Trakt. En plus on peut importer notre historique de visionnage de tv Time. L’appli est super fluide. Est dispo en français. The new version is obviously a work in progress and some features are missing or hard to find. The switch to horizontal scrolling is up for debate but it mimics all the apps in the genre. Personally I like trakit to search for shows I want to watch. It’s been great in presenting me options I was never aware of based on my interests. That I can then add them to my watchlist and integrate it with my preferred streaming platform is awesome. And it’s free! If you’re new my advice is just give it a try. ### 5/5 — Good update and design *2026-02-22, version 3.1* Don’t understand the bad reviews. Can’t expect the app to maintain the same design forever. The new design is more efficient and certain things are easier to do or get to. They also listen to feedback. Email em. Yet everyone is not looking at the positive and don’t share insights for improvements that can be made. The old design felt cluttered. This feels like a breath of fresh air and space efficient. That has disappeared in the 3.0 update and I HATE IT! Bring it back! Without it, Trakt is just another tracking app. There are cheaper versions of that.
