Anh có được ngày hôm nay, bên cạnh những nỗ lực gan lì hết mình của bản thân là sự trợ giúp không nhỏ từ mẹ anh - người đã sáng lập một siêu thị tại New York và giúp anh gây dựng Công ty Soho New York, hoạt động trong lĩnh vực xuất nhập khẩu về y tế, bất động sản và tài chính.

Bảo Sơn trở về quê hương lập nghiệp sau khi tốt nghiệp 4 năm học ngành Thương mại ở Mỹ. Khởi đầu tự lập đầy gian nan, anh phải trải qua nhiều thăng trầm trong lĩnh vực kinh doanh dược phẩm.

Trong một lần về nước, anh đã gặp Trương Ngọc Ánh, ấn tượng bởi vẻ điềm đạm và sâu sắc của cô như rất nhiều người đẹp mà anh đã từng gặp. Ban đầu Trương Ngọc Ánh không sớm rung động. Người đẹp Hà Thành với sự sắc sảo và kiêu kì của con gái Bắc đã không bị “nao núng” trước sự choáng ngợp của đối phương. Trần Bảo Sơn cũng thừa nhận chuyện tình của hai người không phải là tình yêu sét đánh. Nhưng rồi họ yêu nhau lúc nào không biết. Họ xây dựng gia đình, hợp tác trong công việc và trở nên thành công hơn cùng nhau. Trần Bảo Sơn giúp vợ trong lĩnh vực kinh doanh, Trương Ngọc Ánh giúp chồng đầu tư vào nghệ thuật và tham gia diễn xuất.

Sau đó, anh là một phát hiện mới của điện ảnh Việt, giải Cánh diều vàng cho vai phụ xuất sắc nhất trong “Huyền thoại bất tử”. Và sau đó là Mạnh, vai nam chính ấn tượng trong “Giao lộ định mệnh”. Trần Bảo Sơn chính thức là một diễn viên nổi tiếng, độc lập với tiếng tăm của vợ.
