## What is TransCity?

TransCity helps riders and drivers share city and intercity trips across Germany with transparent cost sharing instead of taxi-style fares.

For riders:
Find available rides on your route
See distance, time, cost share and platform fee before booking
Book seats, chat with your driver and follow trip updates
Manage rides, payments, cancellations and receipts

For drivers:
Create offers with route, time, seats and cost sharing
Automatic pricing based on distance and travel time
Manage bookings, riders, wallet and payouts
Use live tracking and trip status tools

Pricing is rule-based and transparent: driver cost share is calculated from distance and time, and the platform fee is added separately. TransCity is built for practical carpooling, not commercial taxi transport.
