Transla is a private translator that runs entirely on your iPhone. Type or speak, and get instant translations without sending your words to a server.

100+ languages
Translate between English, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Japanese, Arabic, Spanish, and many more. Traditional Chinese output uses 繁體字.

Voice, when you need it
Tap the microphone to speak. For English and Chinese, turn on Live to see words appear as you talk. For Chinese, speech recognition uses Zipformer even when Live is off. Other languages use on-device Whisper.

Hear it back
Play the original or the translation with a tap.

Built for privacy
Translation, speech recognition, and live captions stay on this device. Models download once and never need the cloud to translate.

Copy, play, or open History to reuse a past result.
Transla is made for travel, study, and everyday conversation — especially when you want a translator that does not listen on a server.
