I know message translations from iMessages and other apps don’t work on iPhone as Bengali and Bangla aren’t available. It means, I must copy and paste these to Google Translate, ChatGPT or Claude to get the context of these. As this is a translation app, it’s disappointing that Hindi and Arabic are there but not Bengali or Urdu. They only have Spanish from Spain, which doesn’t make sense with today’s standards. Another questionable feature, or lack of, is the non-ability to look up previous translated texts. Yeah, let’s just discard translated conversations immediately… it’s ridiculous. They might as well take this app off the store already, or modernize it with features that matter. ### 1/5 — Deceptive billing *2026-09-02, version 1.6* No warnings, this app bills you $4/week. Only characters were displayed. A few weeks later pinyin was displayed with the characters. Two months later pinyin disappeared. The pinyin is what I need to speak and pronounce what I’m trying to say. An insanely simple improvement would be for a setting to “Hold to translate” in conversation mode rather than to toggle - I found people naturally trying and do this and accidentally turning it off instead.
