It’s just a picture update and has no other functions. Tadpoles and other daycare apps that I’ve used are much better. They have videos, photos, real time updates of feeding/diaper, and allows parents to message with the teachers. Some other apps even have billing. This has nothing and I can’t believe the daycare I paid a premium for has this awful app. ### 1/5 — Photo dump *2022-06-22, version 2.1.3* Please update app to serve more than just a photo library. I should be able to utilize same way I would the website, see announcements, log in/out etc. Also would be nice to have a passcode to open the app in case my phone was ever lost/stolen. ### 1/5 — As a Classroom Guide, Terrible App *2022-06-14, version 2.1.3* The website is seriously great. But the app? Useless, basically just takes up space on your phone. Works be great to have all the same info as the website. Worst part is that it didn’t even do is intended purpose well. Notifications havens even been working properly so I just have to check randomly to see if a photo of my child has been uploaded. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Please Update Your Product *2023-02-15* Since my phone updated to iOS 16.1.1 in November 22, the photo upload feature on the TC app won’t function properly. The website’s photo upload is painfully slow (one minute or more per photo). TC’s is aware of the issue with the most recent versions of iOS and told inquiring customers in November ‘22 that the next update would address this issue, and would be available by “end of year,” yet there is still no update, and many users are STILL unable to use the photo feature. Since photos are one of the main reasons we use TC in the first place, this product is losing more and more of its value by the day. Signed, a very frustrated teacher. ### 1/5 — Pointless *2023-02-10, version 2.1.3* This is one of the worst apps I’ve ever used. I only use it to upload pictures, but for the last 3 months, my iPhone pictures won’t show up on my TC app to upload. So I just never use it. I reached out to them to help me, but the help they offered did not work. During the pandemic, it has been essential. The app allows parents to upload photos of their children and their children’s work, which contributes to guides’ observations. ### 5/5 — A huge benefit in the new distance learning environment *2020-04-24, version 2.1.1* My son’s school rolled out TC this year. It was nice to see what he what works he was doing. Now that he is finishing his last 2.5 months as a 6th year remotely, it has been invaluable. All of his works and projects are done through TC. We upload pictures of his works to share with his classmates. It is the primary tool we use for getting work and has been great. Are there things I wish it would do, yes. But for this emergency learning environment it has been ideal. ### 5/5 — Best tracking system *2019-10-15, version 2.0.7* This is the best racking system for a Montessori classroom!! I love the ability to add photos, tag students and lessons at the same time. The photos are low quality and if you close out the app too quickly after taking a picture, the picture won’t upload, it just disappears! ### 2/5 — Bugs on newer iPhones *2022-09-22, version 2.1.3* Ever since upgrading to the iPhone 13, I have an extraordinarily difficult time switching between my children on the app and sometimes can't do so at all. The app doesn't seem to fit the iPhone screen well and the arrow to switch between kids is right in the top center and is very finicky.
