It puts the world in perspective. Where are you in relation to the world? Up is up, down is down, right? Wrong. East isn't east, west isn't west. This archaic 2 dimensional view of the world is blown away, replaced with a perspective that allows us to know what it feels like to live on a sphere. 3 dimensions. Up is any way you want it to be, and south America is more left than I thought it was. And when I lay down, I turn my back on most of the human population.
