Have a nice day, Maja from the TPP2024 team. ### 1/5 — Completely useless *2024-07-30* When going to the rowing in Vaires Sur Marne, the app said we had to leave at Bussy St Georges to get the ‘official bus’. No such bus from there exists when we were there. When everyone got off the train the ‘helpers’ were screaming and swearing at people that there was no bus and being quite aggressive to the fans even though they were calmly told everyone was simply following the app. Once we got to the next stop of Torcy again there was no bus on. Instead a 40 minute walk in the unsheltered sun with people on crutches having to make the arduous journey themselves. So now I have one ticket from the airport and that’s it. This makes it difficult when on the go and you are hurrying. We just ended up using Uber in a bind. That, or just buy an old fashioned ticket from the machine. You don’t have to worry about creating an account, logging in, loading your credit card, the app logging you out, delays in uploading purchased ticket and then it not finding your ticket. **Developer response:** Hello, I am sorry about this situation. It’s a brilliant app and I found it very easy to use. I travelled everywhere using this app. I saved the hotel as a favourites location I called home. It picks up your current location and wherever I was to get back to the hotel. When out and about, I could write the name of the area or even a shop like Galeries Lafayette or a bakery, and the app would give many suggestions to take to get there. It even gives details of how to walk there once at the station. It gives up to date details of metro train line services, including major train stations for RER and buses. I originally downloaded it thinking I might use it one time, maybe, and that I would keep using Google Maps mostly. It became the cornerstone for all travel around Paris; I stopped using Google Maps entirely because this app is so convenient. So I mostly wanted to write this review to thank the dev team directly for caring so much about the product, you guys did absolutely amazing with it, wish we had more products like this worldwide for people to reference when traveling. They had 2 kids in a wide load carrier and lots of luggage. They couldn’t get out, and I had 7 days of travel on my phone so we made several trips through the skinny gates thanks to my iPhone pass. Even defaulting to Paris time instead of my local time would be an improvement. I am anxious to see the finished product with the venue maps. ### 3/5 — Stick with Citymapper *2024-07-31* Don’t really see the point in this. It has very basic functionality and it’s difficult to find useful things like maps. It will tell you how to get to a venue and what the suggested route is, but the journey will still be crowded because the same route has been suggested to everyone else. I am using an IOS device and I have tried uninstalling and installing again this app and it continues to crash when I click on the Purchases section. Not sure what to do. Also, I plan on using the app to go to events in Lille at the Stade Pierre de Mauroy in Lille Métropole but don’t see this as an option to add to the list of venues and can’t find the address on the map area when I type in the destination. The app is available in French and English, and offers machine translations to German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese. The English texts appear to be translated from French, and are somewhat poor, but still acceptable.
