Disappointing ### 2/5 — Unresponsive Hosts *2024-10-02* I have used this app for about two months. I have traveled to three countries and in each country, I have had only two responses from hosts. There seems to be quite a bit of active travelers, however. For example, many people in the travel chats ask for tips or send out dates of when they will be visiting a place, I have noticed there are few responses of hosts or other travelers wanting to meet those who are reaching out. Many of the profiles are inactive, ranging from months to several years. Additionally, there seems to be glitches with the ‘Meetups’ and ‘Buddies’ buttons—clicking on them to check the notifications does and shows nothing. Don’t waste your time. Especially if your situation is an emergency. I made a post on the apps main feed asking others if they are experiencing something similar and my account was deleted. Just for trying to ask a question. I have no idea what this apps intention is, but it isn’t for other women to help each other. After 6 months of using TravelLadies, i can safely say, every single “active” account that i messaged, never got back. And the app keeps asking for money if you want to send messages to others and i can definitely see how someone in dire need of a place to stay wouldn’t see the harm in spending a dollar or two here and there to send more messages. And that’s how they make their money. Ich wollte kein Gewinn damit machen, ich wollte die Kosten decken, die dadurch entstehen. So wie ich andere Nutzer der App auch bezahlt habe für ihre Kosten, was ja auch selbstverständlich eigentlich ist. Ich verstehe, wenn man auf der App nicht per se Mietinserate stellen darf, was aber ja auch nicht meine Intention war. Wenn man einen Fehler macht kann man auch erstmal jemanden verwarnen, aber gleich für immer sperren find ich sehr übertrieben. Ich mein ich wusste ja nicht, dass ich nicht mal darüber reden darf ob man Kosten teilt für etwas. Auf Nachfrage hat der Support extrem unfreundlich reagiert und ohne Hallo oder irgendwas geschrieben. Also insgesamt super unprofessionell reagiert. I absolutely love the app and have been using it all summer long, but I found it really difficult to find old chats when reaching out to a lot of people, and it would often take me a really long time to scroll to find the chat I was looking for. Unfortunately, there is a lot to be done to make the app better, but hopefully that can be fixed in future versions! Glitches— there are a lot of small issues where buttons disappear, profile names get switched, the button does not work, etc. UI - the navigation bar is crowded with buttons, some of them would be better off put somewhere else. For example the help button should maybe go in the top corner somewhere instead of with every other button on the bottom. Also I think the “trips” and “memories” buttons can be consolidated with the “home” page, because the home page shows posts anyway. If you want to filter between trips/memories/discussion posts maybe add a drop-down on the home page instead of in the navigation bar. Notifications— sometimes they don’t work so I will not see people’s messages until much later.
