### 4/5 — Drive

*2026-05-02, version 2.13.0*

App doesn’t record every drive for some reason.

### 4/5 — It’s pretty smart but still needs a bit of work

*2026-04-08, version 2.12.0*

It is better than the app from Progressive which was taking my subway rides or even my bike rides as car drives. The subway accelerates and stops abruptly sometimes and it was counting those towards drives. It seemed a lot to go into app and correct it every time. This app from travelers is better but still miscounts trips. Also gave me hard acceleration when I wasn’t really accelerating that hard.

### 4/5 — Overall Ok…

*2026-03-16, version 2.12.0*

Well I switched car insurance to Travelers…so far it’s ok. I installed this app. I find it ridiculous that you get dinged for traveling at a certain time of the day. Unfortunately that’s how my work schedule is. I work 6AM to 6PM…my commute is long. Maybe think about changing that…pretty it’s ridiculous. I’m going to restrict my info and access to this app…

### 2/5 — Data is off

*2025-11-20, version 2.12.0*

This app has discrepancies which makes me question is validity. First of all. They’re being a 6 mile discrepancy each morning for me between my house and I stop. I make every morning on my way to work. The second thing I noticed is it says an event however when you click on the map, there’s no Red dots to indicate any kind of event. So I’m sure that’s affecting my driving score somehow. Lastly, for example, yesterday I was driving home and didn’t look at my phone once and it said I had multiple distractions and I’m assuming that with notifications coming in that I took that as distractions, even though I didn’t look at my phone.

### 1/5 — Inaccurate Data

*2025-11-03, version 2.12.0*

Horrible app that gives you lower ratings if you drive during regular work hours… break to stop at a red light that has changed quickly… or drive the speed limit on a freeway if over 65mph. I’ve been a safe driver my entire life and my rates increased! I switched insurance companies😔 your loss, Travelers.

### 2/5 — App is fine, metrics are trash

*2025-10-24, version 2.12.0*

The app tracks my driving and shows perfect scores across all metrics for 30 days straight—except “time of day,” which keeps saying “needs improvement.” I can’t tell what schedule it expects me to follow. One weekday at 6:52 p.m. it flags an event, but the next weekday at 7:06 p.m. it doesn’t. Whatever dynamic system the developers are using to judge this is inconsistent and meaningless.

### 3/5 — Not accurate

*2025-10-19, version 2.12.0*

you drive a car to work at 8:30am and the app considers it is a negative thing. Ridiculous

### 1/5 — Phone

*2025-09-23, version 2.12.0*

Can’t enter

### 2/5 — Horrible, inaccurate, violation of my privacy

*2025-09-10, version 2.12.0*

I am extremely over this app. It’s inaccurate, it doesn’t know if I’m driving or someone else is driving. Hard breaking- yea someone cut my off, it also says I speed up too fast? Yes I’m on a highway. How else would you like me to get on? If my 10 years of being accident free isn’t enough travelers. I’ll take my business elsewhere. This should be illegal.

### 4/5 — Time of event

*2025-08-17, version 2.12.0*

It’s very strict on the time that you drive. Before 9am it’s consider a risk and after 5p too. Most drivers have to be at work before and after that time!

### 3/5 — Good Idea

*2025-08-15, version 2.12.0*

The app stems from a good idea to help people drive safer. It works really well on ICE vehicles. But this app does not agree with autonomous EVs or regenerative braking.
The app misinterprets regenerative braking for hard braking. Or when the EV is safely self-driving and you touch your phone for anything, change a playlist or open a podcast, it penalizes you. It is a self-driving vehicle but the app doesn’t take it into account. Good starting point but needs improvement with modern vehicles.

### 1/5 — Inaccurate events

*2025-08-06, version 2.12.0*

I’ve been using this app for 62 days. It has my “high speed” as “good” but if I filter for “high speed” or look at the individual trips, none have been flagged for high speed. Similarly, my “time of day” gets flagged whether it’s 8:31am or 4:33pm, which is confusing as to what’s actually a good time to drive. Very disappointing.

### 1/5 — Penalized for EVERYTHING

*2025-07-16, version 2.12.0*

The app penalizes you for every possible item, including the time of day you drive, which doesn't always line up with rush hour--so, it's arbitrary. I set my cruise control, and let the "smart" functions do their thing. It tends to stop suddenly a lot, so the app will penalize that. Need to adjust your GPS? PENALIZED! Need to make a phone call? PENALIZED! Need to breathe while driving? PENALIZED! Best to just buy a second phone and leave the one with this app at home!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Beware Unfair Events

*2026-07-27, version 2.13.0*

The “Time of Day Events,” kills me every day. I have to be at work at 6am and leave around 7pm. The app believes everyone works a typical 9-5 work schedule for what whatever reason. So twice a day, I’m penalized for going to work and coming home. Nothing I can do besides watch my overall performance plummet for free.
Also the “Hard Braking,” meter isn’t accurate. It goes up and down, up and down like a roller coaster. The crazy part is that I can’t remember the last time I hard braked. I drive as safe as possible and always stay around 5 car distances between the next car, and I start slowing down and braking around 5 seconds before I take my turn. The app still believes I’m hard braking consistently.

### 1/5 — Worst app

*2026-06-23, version 2.13.0*

I was on a river 1,000 miles from my home address and they counted each trip I took on a literal boat then said I couldn’t edit those “drives” because it was beyond the tiny little 10 day window they give you to make edits. Sorry I’m not 100% focused on this stupid app while I’m away from my car and on vacation….

### 1/5 — Won’t even work

*2026-06-23, version 2.13.0*

Background app refresh button won’t toggle on/off. Can’t get past that screen to even set up the app. Deleted and reinstalled multiple times.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2026-04-08, version 2.12.0*

This app doesn’t work WT

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2026-03-06, version 2.12.0*

This app doesn’t proceed past the settings page for me despite all the proper settings applied. I was required to download for a rate but will just switch back to progressive.

### 1/5 — Don’t use this app!!!

*2026-01-10, version 2.12.0*

This is a scam to get you to buy their insurance with the claim you save up to 30% on renewal. They set you up to fail. They refuse to tell you what times cause a penalty but includes commuting hours. Learned it includes 4-7 pm even if you drive in a residential neighborhood one mile away. Starts at 7:00am but not sure when it ends (likely 3 hours like pm). Includes late at night but they won’t tell you hours. If your phone accidentally slips it counts as distracted driving. You have 90 days to drive 500 miles without violations. Good luck! Customer service is horrendous.

### 1/5 — Inaccurate and invasive

*2025-12-13, version 2.12.0*

Not worth it. Provides extremely inaccurate driving data with many unspecified “events” regardless of driving habits.

### 1/5 — Significantly under counts miles

*2025-11-25, version 2.12.0*

Most of my driving is local, within 3-5 miles from home. It takes the app 1-3 miles to recognize that I’m driving so many trips aren’t counted at all,and others are shorted on the mileage. I’m nowhere near on track to reach 500 miles in 90 days because the app is flawed. If Travelers raises my premium, we will have a very short relationship.

### 1/5 — Very Frustrating App

*2025-11-21, version 2.12.0*

We are in the middle of our 90 day period and we dislike this app with a passion. If travelers increases our rate by even a single $1 we will be switching companies. My husband and I are excellent drivers and we get dinged for existing. Dropping our child off at school is an event. Picking her up is an event. Stopping at a red light to avoid hitting the person in front of you is an event. Driving on the highway is an event. Breathing is an event.

### 1/5 — Causes more good than bad - I have been driving for 30 years -

*2025-11-19, version 2.12.0*

We had this app dangled to us to provide lower premiums. So far we are half way through the requires days and realize that is app causes more anxiety and fear while driving than good. You are more worried about pleasing the app vs just driving. Negatives : speed limits don’t match to real limits so you will always have an alert , you get dinged if you drive at 530 pm? How the heck are you supposed to get home from work ? One acceleration cause you are done -

Positive - distraction component for texting

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Progress Report

*2026-02-09, version 2.12.0*

It is always great to be acknowledged for one’s efforts. Also having little goals is a great idea to stimulate further progress. Putting to work the safe and defensive skills in place and building on to them. The result..your program makes the streets and highways safer.

### 5/5 — Easy to understand & use!

*2025-12-26, version 2.12.0*

Helps me be a more aware driver!

### 5/5 — Not what I thought

*2025-12-18, version 2.12.0*

I read a lot of bad stuff. I was expecting to be dinged on every little thing. Other than time of day, I’m doing way better than I expected. It seems fair on stopping and starting. It has not hit me for an occasional screen tap (I don’t pickup the phone). I hear time of day doesn’t count a lot, but there is really nothing I can do about that.

### 5/5 — Review of this app

*2025-12-16, version 2.12.0*

I’m really impressed!!

### 5/5 — A Driving Tool for Everyone

*2025-12-15, version 2.12.0*

I have been encouraged by the driving scores thus far and this motivates one to take driving safely even more.

### 5/5 — Great Product

*2025-12-09, version 2.12.0*

This product will show the good driver how good they are, regardless of driver’s age. It also shows some drivers they need improvement regardless of driver’s age.

### 5/5 — Love this appp

*2025-10-29, version 2.12.0*

Every insurance company should have this app

### 5/5 — Good Feedback

*2025-05-11, version 2.10.1*
