Initial set up was frustrating as all codes and support email responses were sent to spam. TravelMate support team ### 4/5 — App looks good but log I difficulties made it fail to meet my needs. *2024-10-09* The app looks good and had useful information for the short time I was able to log it. I was to use it for a boat cruise on Lake Como. Unfortunately I saw I needed to see another section of the app for the boat cruise I was taking according to the cruise company. When I tried to access these other sections I was blocked. Unfortunately this was only a short time before the cruise so I did not have time to contact support. TravelMate raconte les merveilles des villes avec leurs nombreux points d'intérêt. Nous ne pourrons jamais rivaliser avec les audioguides des musées qui peuvent décrire sans problème des centaines d’œuvres. Pour les musées, nous créons du contenu uniquement pour les œuvres les plus importantes, mais nous ajoutons beaucoup de contenu sur la ville entière. Le coût est également très différent, TravelMate coûte bien moins cher qu’un audioguide de musée même s’il propose de nombreuses heures de contenu audio. Nous ne pensons pas qu'il soit juste que l'évaluation concerne uniquement les musées mais il serait plus correct de l'évaluer pour le contenu global de la ville, la qualité de l'application, la facilité d'utilisation, la qualité des intervenants, etc. Nous vous remercions pour votre compréhension. The app is very easy to use, I download and listen to the different audios while in the car to prepare for the visit. My only gripe is that each chapter is like 2-2.5 minutes long and doesn’t cover as much as if expect from a “walking tour of Rome”. The audio guide for the castle is only 2 minutes long. The text is from Wikipedia. I was simply robbed. It’s done very cleverly. You download the app for free and pay for the audio guide on the website. You cannot file a claim through the App Store. Never buy this!! **Developer response:** Dear user, your review is really unfair. It's clear you were careless in purchasing TravelMate. The website makes it very clear that you're purchasing all the stories about Rome, which number nearly 100 and last several hours. To avoid reviews like yours, we offer free 30-second listening to each file on the website. This avoids misunderstandings and allows the user to verify the quality and quantity of the content. The content is absolutely not copied from a Wiki. It is written by renowned art and culture historians, as you can read on the "About Us" page of the website you purchased from. TravelMate support team ### 1/5 — Travel Mate are scammers *2024-10-22* don't download the app, don't pay for the guides, Travel Mate are scammers! the Travel Mate website lists the length of each audio guide, for example 2.45 - you think it's 2 hours 45 minutes, but it's 2 minutes 45 seconds of content! terrible experience! waste of money! the App Store administration should remove this app! **Developer response:** Dear Marisha, more than half a million users have always understood that the duration of the files is indicated in minutes and seconds. We are sorry that you misunderstood thinking that it was hours and minutes. If each single audio file lasted 2 hours and 45 minutes, you would have several hundred hours of storytelling for each city and you would get bored after a few minutes of listening. To keep the listener's attention high, the files last no more than 3 minutes each and if we have to tell a point of interest in many minutes, we do it with multiple audio files but no longer than 3 minutes each to avoid boring the listeners. To help you, on the site you will find detailed information with the full text of each file, the total amount of files for each point of interest and we also allow you to listen to each audio for 30 seconds for free to check its quality and avoid misunderstandings.
