Nobody will be here and free when I have a booking. This is the opposite of useful. Sorry. They do not make it clear that VAT will be charged too. After 1 booking through them where their fees including VAT came to 28%, I set my prices to be too high to receive any bookings, while I considered if I wanted to continue having a listing with them. If you list direct on Airbnb or Booking.com, fees are about 15%, so you pay an extra 13% to Travel Nest. Changing pricing without permission - TravelNest then changed my prices for my listing without my permission by turning on 'smart pricing' without my authorisation. This resulted in me getting a booking at a price well below what I should be getting per night. As soon as the booking was made, I contacted the person who had made the booking and informed them of the situation. They were understanding and accepted the booking being cancelled. I also informed Travel Nest straight away. Travel Nest are trying to charge me a cancellation fee, even though the situation was caused by them changing my pricing without my permission. Threat and intimidation - Travel Nest are now trying to intimidate me by saying that they will pass my debt on to a debt collection agency. App notifications - app notifications do not work, even when you have them switched on, so you have to check the app or your account online to find out if you have messages or a booking. I am a Super Host on Airbnb. I know how to manage a holiday letting listing. I would strongly advise listing directly on Airbnb and Booking.com yourself.
